I spent half of my night in the Emergency room..

Yes.. before anyone says im a blonde they must really listen to my sadding story :rolleyes: :D Well last night we were getting ready to walk out the door and my brother thought it would be fun to sit in a laundry basket and go down the stairs.. So i didnt want him to try it so i did I thought well i might as well try it.. **not fully knowing what i was getting myself into** and then i sat in the laundry basket and i got second thoughts.. i told my brother "ehh kyle maybe i shouldnt go down anymore".. but it was too late he pushed and nSWISH! PUSH!! and i was off.. Yes well i was flying SUPER fast and then BAM! into the wall.. I have a huge welt on my forehead above my right eyebrow to the side.. and i broke my foot.... :( i cant even walk! I had to stay home because.. i cant walk on it.. and it hurts SO bad.. :( im such a stupid head.. lol..

I've done some less than smart things when I was young. Ended up with a broken wrist during one stunt.

I had foot surgery when I was about 14. Had a cast from the knee down for the whole summer.

Well, we all do stupid things...he he he, and that was pretty stupid to do (well, it was!). I am really glad you ended up with ONLY a broken foot. Coulda been alot worse. So, get well, heal, enjoy the day off, and NO MORE BASKET SURFING! NUT!!!!

Now that I know you are ok (well, at least from these injuries) tell us exactly how it happened, the number of stairs you went down, and how you broke your foot instead of your nose.

We all do dumb things every now and then, and I chuckled when I read your post, because I SWEAR I have done the same thing! Twice actually, we no injuries thank God. :p I was such a mood to have snow, but of course we don't get any, so I decided I would sled on the stairs. :rolleyes: This was about 4 or 5 years ago, and like you, I was old enough to know better, and I DID........I was just fooling around. :o I got in the basket, slid over to the stairs, and ZOOMED down. It was fun :p but it flipped over on the last step and I fell on my head. :p It was on carpet, so it didn't hurt but I decided to stop. Then, several weeks later, I did it again! This time, I hung my feet out and used them as *breaks* when I got to the end. It worked, but yes its a stupid thing to do and I would never do it again. Looks like you learned a lesson for me. :p

That's hilarious! I remember doing that when I was a kid, except we went down in cardboard boxes instead of laundry baskets. Luckily none of us got hurt. I hope your foot feels better soon! :) :)
