I know some of you do it--just like me!!
My dogs don't care if I'm off key--thank goodness!!!

Abbey hates when my husband plays his drums--but if I sing to her while he's playing she loves it!!!!

Everyone has a song--Kito's is "You are my sunshine"--or "you are my inu", Abbey's is "beautiful", and Riley's is "Copa Cobana" (his name is Riley.....)--Jada doesn't have one yet, something will pop up for me soon.

I throw their names into everything anyway--whatever's on, someone's getting it sung to them!!!

Anyone else??

I *always* sing to my pets, because its SO much fun when they tilt their heads, listen carefully, and then sing back! I whistle *Mary had a little lamb* (the whole thing) to them, and then Popcorn whistles, in such a sqeaky voice *Mary had a little lamb........* and then messes up and adds his own personal birdie whistles. :o LOL Its HILARIOUS! Muffin listens and squacks back but she's not interested in whistling herself. Its so much fun to sing to birds especially because they copy you and sing back. :D

i sing 'you are my sunshine' and 'simply the best' to alex the wonder dog, i sung 'duke of earl', custom lyrics to duke when i was brushing him, he'd stand there and slowly wag his tail, eyes half closed in pleasure. for magic the cat i sing 'magic man' and for mojo, it the old blues standby...someone put a spell on me...
i love to sing and i don't have a musical voice, the animals don't mind. ;)

I tend to sing to Cookie the most because she helps me out. I'll sing a line, and then point to her, and she meows.:)

Owen gets: you are my sunshine, "he's the most beautiful dog in the world" and lately, a terrible version of Queen's Bohemian Rapsody where I sing: He's such a good boy everybody loves him, He's such a good boy from a good family. Give him a life full of hugs and kissies! (pathetic i know):D

OK, this is a bit embarrassing, but I sing "That's My Baby" by Lari White to Malone.

That's my Baby
That's my Baby
That's my Diamond in the Rough
I'll make him Shine with my True Love
That's my Baby
That's my Baby

He's a Rebel
He's Wild and Free....
...
He Ain't No Angel
He Ain't no Saint
But I don't worry About What he Ain't
'Cause What he is Something Fine
He Let's Me know that he's mine, all mine
That's My Baby That's My Baby

Oh yes, Piper has a song:

The original lyrics (Boys and Girls from Good Charlotte) are:
educated
with money
he's well dressed
not funny
and not much to say in most conversations
but he'll foot the bill in
all situations
cause he pays for everything

girls don’t like boys
girls like cars and money....

But we sing:
educated
with money
he's well dressed
and a bunny
with not much to say in most conversations
and she'll foot the bill in
all situations
cos she pays for everything

buns don't like (cheap) toys
buns like wastin' mom's money... :D

Oh and we also like "Thumpin' in our Hareforce Ones!"

I did a thread in Dog General but I can't find it. My mom does that ear song. Do your ears hang low? She plays with his ears while she's doing it and he loves it! It's very cute. He'll walk over to her when she's on the couch just for that.

Yep I sing all the time to'em.

Oz's song isn't too embarassing. I sing "Wizard of Oz" to him.

We're off to see the Wizard, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
You'll find he is a whiz of a Wiz! If ever a Wiz! there was.
If ever oh ever a Wiz! there was The Wizard of Oz is one
because... because because because because beeeeeecause...
because of the wonderful things he does.

He loves the long beeeeecause part.

Maddie's is pretty embarassing. I just sing her name to the
melody of "Moon River". There's nothing more special than her,
so lyrics just consisting of her name pretty much captures her.:)
Can't believe I'm gonna share this.

Maaadddd Rooie... Mad Mad Mad Mad Roo... It's Maddie Maddie
Roo... Mad Roo... It's Mad Rooie... Mad Mad Rooie...

and so on and so on. You get the idea. Both Oz and Maddie
love this one. I'll do the same thing with her name to the "Lone Ranger Theme Song" too.

Murph doesn't really pay any attention to my singing at all.
I sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to him sometimes, but
I don't really get any reaction from him. He's evidently a lil'
more discerning than the other two.:)

I sing to my pets all the time!!! I always sing to Houdini. Usually I put her in my arms and sing 'Rock a Bye Baby".

My old cat Lucky had his own song that I wrote, I even had guitar lyrics to it. :o

Here is how it goes:

His name is Lucky Boy
Only without the boy
His name is Lucky
No he's not a ducky

He is a cat, dun dun dun dun dun dun
Actually a kitten...
Little tiny fuurrrballl
sitting on my lap

He wakes up
before the bright sun does
Running all around
Jumping up and down
Always keeps me up

Pick up a shoe
Throw it across the room
Wouldn't you know it missed him
Maybe it's because he's Lucky Boy

dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun
Only without the boy
His name is Luckyyyyy
No, he's not a ducky

He is a cat
dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun
Actually a kitten
Little tiny furballlll, sitting on my lap
dun dun dun dun dun dun
Sittingggg onnnn myyy lappp!

RIP Lucky, I miss you little guy. :(

lol!!!
Those are awesome!!!!!

Abbey gets a version of 50 Cent's P.I.M.P

We call her "the crab", or "crabby Abbey", so when the part comes on when he says "P.I.M.P" it's she's a C.R.A.B!!!

I sing that new Shania Twain song to Ally - 'cos I love her so much!

I'm keeping you forever and for always
We will be together all of our days
Want to wake up every morning to your sweet face
Always
