T & P got a wonderful care package from England today! I honestly don't think they've ever had so many toys in their lives, especially all at one time!!! Thank you so much Jenny (PayItForward)!!!

So here are the pics. Peanut was all over everything at first, while Tubby laid nearby, wondering what all the fuss was about. She seemed to prefer the little leopard balls.

I even got two little cones! I set them up to warn Terry to be cautious in the "Play Zone." (They're in the front in the pic, the flash kind of distorted the color so they don't show up that well) And just look at the toys!!!

Then since Tubby was being goofy, daddy decided to be goofy and play with Peanut.

Then Peanut seemed a little overwhelmed with all the new toys, Tubby being so feisty and her daddy being goofy, so she had to go hide out on the front porch of her box. Home sweet home and familiar territory so she felt safe...

But they absolutely loved the toys. They are all tuckered out now and sleeping it off - and Tubby is actually over on his purr pad....purring!!!! :D Thanks again, it was a wonderful surprise and these two haven't acted so young since I don't remember when. :D

I finally posted Tubby & Peanuts box, which has been packed and ready to go and just been sitting under my coffee table for weeks.

I have just been so lazy sleeping in saturday mornings :)

I am so pleased Tubby likes the mouse chaser, it has the same effect on our Georgie. :D

I'm not sure what it's made out of, Lut. It's what we call a "braided rug" because the originals made way back when were made from wool coats cut into strips then braided together. But this is one of those new fangled ones from the store and is probably some synthetic who knows what. Terry had it long before I came on the scene so the tag is not on it anymore. But I guess I'd have to say whatever it is must be good synthetic stuff because it really doesn't show any wear after all these years.

I think its great when older kitties get playful, they are so fun to watch!
They are! With kittens you expect them to be playful and get "that look in their eye." But with older cats, it's an unexpected treat when they get spunky and the spark comes back to their eyes...at least with my two anyway. :D

BTW: What are you going to name your cones? I was thinking Conelius and Conelia, Cone and Cona for short, whaddya think? :D

Now that's a toy box! They look like they are having such fun....especially with the empty box...a perennial favorite!

BTW....as to braided rugs....that is what my parents had when I was a kid....the "old fashion kind." The connecting threads wear and get caught on shoe heels. One of my chores was to sew.....with a big curved needle and thick thread...the rugs back together. Oh how I hated that!

Had to comment on braided rug as my grandmother made them out of our old wool skirts and slacks. I still have the one she made for me 45 years ago.
