I realized that I have never shared any pics of my cottage! I went there this weekend to help build a deck. Also I was finally able to take some pics of my mom's and stepdad's place (they are retired and live a couple of minutes down the road from the family cottage).

They bought this house 7 years ago and it was a total mess. The bush was overgrown, dead trees, no lawn etc. I think they have done an amazing job & it helps that my stepdad is a carpenter and my mom is a gardening freak and birdhouse maker!! :D

The pictures are terrific!!! I love your mother's handiwork with the bird houses. They are so unique! :) And the flight pattern of that moth is a terrific picture!!!!

I have a birdhouse much like the ones your Mom made. It was a gift, but I know it was well over $50.00. She has a business under her nose........but they take a lot of patience and hard work to make.

You should see the 'good' birdhouses! I didn't even have time to photograph them. I'm thinking about getting some pics and dimensions and putting them on Ebay and see how they do. It can't hurt!
