Pet Mills
What is a puppy, or pet mill? Many have asked that question and the answer is quite simple. A puppy mill or any other pet mill is a disgusting, filthy, germ filled place. It's a place where pain, abuse and neglect are as common as fresh drinking water is to your pets and mine.

The "millers", a term frequently used to refer to the low life humans who operate these hell holes, care NOTHING about the welfare of the animals. Millers are ruled by the almighty dollar. They will tell you they care about their animals. That is a bold faced lie; in my opinion. People who care about animals show them love, compassion and respect. They feed them, give them fresh water, socialize them and see to it that their medical needs are met.

Mill animals are treated in a manner which no living, breathing being should be exposed to...ever! They are housed in wire cages, one on top of another, forced to exist in their own feces and urine. Most carry untreated health problems. Defenseless, voiceless animals are bred, quite literally, to death. There is absolutely no concern for their health and what genetic deformities might be passed along to their offspring.

The veterinarians who issue health certificates are, in my opinion, just as bad as the millers. They have long since forgotten why they chose veterinary care as their profession. Like the millers, their concern is money.

Have you ever been in a pet store? Do you know where those animals come from? The store owner would like for you to believe they came from a reputable breeder and they will even tell you that. They may even boast about the fact that they deal directly with a "broker", like that's a good thing! How many reputable breeders do you know who would sell their animals to a broker, or a pet store or sell through web site? If you know of any, you'd better re-think whether or not they are reputable.

In other less confusing words for you ashley :p is that stacked upon cage after cage there is dogs sometimes too big to fit in the cage they were put in.. A puppy mill is a horrid place where breeding is non stop.. Just when the dog goes into heat thats when they start breeding until heat is over and then when its over... sometimes just shove them to the side until they are to weak to live.. often most to die.. Feices goes onto the dogs into the cage below and its no way to live.. so now you know what it is...
