Never be sorry to post pictures! I love to see pictures of other peoples furbabies. And I love to brag about my furbabies too. I have five at home and I cannot imagine my life without them.

Edit: I'm Jaime. I'm 25 and Samantha is MY first dog. Our family had a dog while I was growing up - a poodle mix named Rags - but Samantha is the first dog that has ever been mine (well... and my fiance, Josh).

Izzy is a city girl now. She lives in Baltimore. She came out for their birthday party in June though, so the girls still get to see each other.

Hi, folks. I'm brand new to Pet Talk and am so happy to have "found" you!!! I absolutely adore furpersons of all stripes and am thrilled to hear from so many others that feel the same way. The photos of Samantha put a smile on my face that stretched from ear to ear! I couldn't believe my eyes as I scrolled through her pics. Each one was more precious than the one before!!! What an absolute doll. Obviously born to be photgraphed. As they say in the movies - the camera really loves her!

Oh yeah, Izzy drove out from the city and she and Sam had a great time catching up. Izzy's mom made liver treats and I was bad - I made cupcakes (funfetti!). I also got a pretty pink tablecloth and a couple of my friends came over and we had a barbecue. The neighbor that rescued them came over with steaks she bought for them and we grilled them up for the girls. They had an awesome time. Samantha slept good that night!!!

I will check out the other birthday threads! I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that - my fiance had me thinking I was nuts! :)

Thanks for the warm welcome:) My screen name comes from my dearly loved dog, Rat. She died in Jan. 1997 but lives on in my heart in a major way. I love the Rainbow Bridge story that I've seen explained her on PT. That was new to me. Rat was a 9 lb. poodle/terrier mix. She was given her name due to her coloring when a puppy and her countenance once wet. My friends and family were appalled when I adopted Rat because she was so scruffy looking when she was little. HA!!! She was beautiful to me and indeed did grow up to be the proverbial swan. I don't know how to post photos so I can't show you my furbaby but maybe I can find someone who can teach me and then you will see Rattie in her full glory:D We called her Rattie, Rattiepoo (bestowed upon her by my then 2 yr old niece), Poo-Bear and Bear. Rat performed what we called her Bear Act when she begged for treats( mainly carrots). Rather than expend the energy to tippytoe around on her hind legs, she would just roll back on her haunches like an ol' bear. Super cute and naturally it worked every time. The vet recommended carrots for her treats because they are low-cal, crunchy which is good for "cleaning" teeth and dogs seem to like the sweetness in the carrots. Rattie liked them in a big way. I was always chopping carrots or whipping out a baggie full of carrot chips. My sister even graced me with a carrot charm for my bracelet in recognition of all my time spent with this vegetable :rolleyes: So that's a very brief description of my baby dog. I forgot to say that she was 16 when she died so we had a nice journey. Four years ago I was adopted by a kitty, my first feline experience. She is a trip and a half and I am learning, learning, learning all about CATS:eek: I'm so glad she came into my life because I had previously only had close kinships with dogs. Now I'm certain I'll never be without a kitty!!!!!! Thanks so much for the warm welcome. Ya'll are the Best

She really is... It's so easy to end up taking rolls of pictures of her because she's doing one cute thing after another and you can pretty much guarantee that the pictures will turn out absolutely precious! :)

The vet (Dr. Amy) and I are sure about the German Shepherd and the Lab/Retreiver, but other than that, we aren't sure. Dr. Amy mentioned Collie, but no specific kind. I've also been told by Samantha's sister's mommy that her vet mentioned Bernese Mountain Dog. *shrug* So we aren't sure. She's a Heinz 57, just like my first dog Rags! ;)

As someone else said, never apologize about pics! We all know how close we get to our furry angels and we love seeing the pics! That's what makes it so fun. Samantha seems to be quite the poser for the camera.

I loved all the photos added to the ones of Samantha...I'm going to get my pictures organized so I can send a bunch of Sasha. And perhaps I'll include my darling *angel* cats and dog who have crossed Rainbows' Bridge. Sasha is the last of my babies and don't we all know that petkids are so very precious.

Loved all the pictures everyone has send. All the pets are beautiful, wonderful and I'm so thrilled to see so many people treasure animals. Personally I think "animals" who are not "human animals" are the best beings. :D Pardon me:D but I'm less impressed with the "humans" of the animal kingdom.

I loved Sam's puppy pictures, my Gawd, no wonder you couldn't resist!!! I had posted the question of Logan's breed, other than GSD, and at her first puppy class on Monday, the trainer took one look at her and said "Beagle" and I think she may be right! She has a Beagle bark and is a terrific stalker and sneak attacker, plus herder...Now if Logan would only cooperate with the camera, I'll post more pictures. They DO look a lot alike! Wow! And beagle?? I don't think the same goes for Sam. She doesn't have a beagle's bark... unless she's going nuts, she goes "boof!" really short and low. It's cute. I know she's got to have Lab in her 'cause she's got webbed feet.

Beagle, that's interesting. I'll have to ask Dr. Amy next time we go in. :)
