I hardly ever post in the cat section so I thought I would update some of you on my cat fuzzy. I dont know how old he is, but I am sure he is old. we got him as an adult from the shelter more then 8 years ago. he is a forest cat. He likes going outside in the bush and catching mice and birds and bringing them homw for my family lol. Which cat doesnt ;):)..

he is an outside cat, he sleeps in my parents room at night and likes to explore outside during the day time...

I have a question...

my cat had formed a lil limp in his back hips and I was wondering if cats can get arthritis?? is it treatable?? thanks .

Hi from the cat side. We'd love to see pictures of Fuzzy - I bet he is gorgeous.

As for your question about the limp - yes I think cats can get arthritis but I'm not sure about treatments. I'm sure someone here can answer that for you.

Your dogs are absolutely beautiful!

Fuzzy is gorgeous. Yes, I agree that cats can get arthritis as they get older. You'd have to ask your vet about treatments though because I'm not familiar with them.

Both cats and dogs get arthritis, it's just like with humans there is no cute. Glucosamine helps a lot it doesn't cure it or help the pain but it helps to reverse the arthritis. It slowly starts to relubricate the joints, it takes a while to start working but after a while you really see the results. However I would talk to your vet before giving her glucosamine, your vet will check him out and let you know for sure if it is arthritis and let you know what the proper dose of glucosamine should be. It pretty inexpenisve and you can find it at most pet stores or drug stores.
