I want to know which brand of water fountain you think is best for your cats, and why.

Thanks!

I have a PetMate water fountain and my cats LOVE it!! Not only do I give them filtered water from the tap, but the fountain filters the filtered water. Talk about spoiled!!! I got it on clearance for $20 (Originally $39) cuz there were no filters in the box. DUH!!!! I bought filters for it! :D

We have Drinkwell. I chose it because it has a stream much like the sink that my boys so love to drink from. They love it.

You guys make me want one so badly. I found one at WalMart for around $30 - I can't remember the brand. Does anyone know if it is as good as the others?

With Ripley approaching 12 years old and having some prior kidney function problems I think it would probably be a good investment.

I just got a Drinkwell for my kitty Noodle. She loves the noise and motion of the water in the sink, so I figured this would be just right for her.

The first two days, she was very interested but scared. She now drinks from it on and off. Since we've only had it for 5 days, I expect she will use it more and more.

I like it because I keep it in my bathroom and the noise reminds me to refill it. I HATE running out of water for the kitties!

I have a Petmate and so far I really like it. I bought a few weeks ago and they have been drinking so much more water since I got it. I think I paid around $30 for it at Petsmart.

I have a drinkwell with the resevoir attachment which holds 6 cups of water. Sunny and Sky were the main cats that used it. Unfortunately, Sunny loves to play in water so I had to take it down for a while until he gets over this bad habit.:(

Here's a picture of Sunny drinking from it.

I just wanted to thank you all, I got a Drinkwell today!

My cats have not drank water for about a week now, except for what I just recently would add to their food bowls during feeding time.

So far I have seen 2 of my 3 cats use it, I'm sure the 3rd will get used to it as well.

Thanks again!

That's great. I'm sure they'll love it and drink more water too. :)

I got a Drinkwell fountain about 3 years ago... (can it possibly be 3 years ago already?) At that time, it was the only one on the market that had the extra reservoir. The photo KAK has above with Sunny shows it just right. One neat feature is that the motor can be taken apart for cleaning and it is easily replaced. (I messed up once and the water level dropped so low that the motor burnt out...) The replacement motor was about $15, as I recall.

I think your cats will love it. Both Cassy and Livvy do ours.

We have both the drinkwell and the petmate one. The cats love the drinkwell one so much better! They hardly drink from the petmate anymore.
