Does it get any better than this???

Dr. Laura Schlessinger is a US radio personality who

That is beautiful! I loathe Dr Laura...

I kind of like listening to her, though, we don't have her local anymore. Sure, lots gets lost in the delivery, but, I get a kick out of people relying on the bible, absolutely, then, having someone else point out all kinds of inconsistencies...he he he...whom shall we stone today?

I fail to understand people who take the Bible so literally, well at least I fail to agree with them.

She is such a piece of work. I detest her. I think somewhere it says don't judge lest ye be judged.....perhaps she is just picking and choosing. :p

I'm with Cataholic on this one. I love to listen to the show -- mainly for the inconsistancies! That letter is too, too funny! :D

I'm saddened by her rigid view on homosexuality because I think that she does make sense on some other issues.

Such as - have a backbone and stand up for your beliefs, protect children, don't expect people to change, be accountable for your actions and don't make excuses...

She's such a blowhard.

I have no time for people who can dish it out but can't dish it in.

I haven't heard her in a while because she is no longer on our local talk radio station. But frankly, I miss her. I don't always agree with her stance, especially on thee religious topics, but I find I agree with her overall much more than I disagree. I can honestly say that advice she has given others has made me stop and think at times and prevented me from making some pretty serious mistakes, actually.

Just my humble opinion and not directed at the original topic.

LOL! That is great! :D I despise "Dr." Laura

My parents used to listen to her, but they now realize what a twit she is. I think I will pass this onto them ;)

I have no patience for anyone who thinks homosexuality is bad. I was raised by homosexuals, thank you very much.

People who are against homosexuality make me so mad. It's not like it's a choice. GRRRR!

Heehee, thank you to whoever wrote that (the letter). And thanks cataholic. :)

Haha, very funny and very true. I guess I am at a deciding age at the moment, in terms of beliefs. It is those types of inconsistencies that alienates me from religion more and more.

But asides from all that the letter made me chuckle and that's the main thing. Thanks Cataholic.

Give me Dr. Phil over Dr. Laura any day! That woman SCARES me! Brrrrrr!! What an icey, cold, self righteous, sanctamonious phoney!!! A psychologist, spewing advice and pontificating to millions while her astranged, elderly mother lies alone, dead in her apt. for days before she's even found! Ugh! I think she needs some counseling herself!

LOL LOL LOL

I loved the letter :)

I have to say, I hate to watch talk shows or to listen to such (no offence) stupid radio shows mainly because the people participating or moderating these shows act like they are the supreme specialists in the branch and they can decide how people should think. Unfortunately, there are so many people that really take it as a law.

"Dr." Laura has her degree in Biology!

I did tune in today to listen to her comedy show...Her basic messages do have value-but when you talk down to the callers to your show....

today, during a call "dr." L and the caller both spoke at the same time.....her comment??

'when both of us talk, it won't do YOU any good'

AHA!!!
do not try to talk over a person with a degree in biology giving out advice on relationships, life, religion......

It is a shame that she has a degree in Biology and as a biologist she gives advices on religion, life and relationships. Any biologist would know that homosexuality is very natural and if there is someone to explain that to people is the biologists. This only shows that not only she's a prophane (sp) in all other branches she's pretending to know, but also in Biology

...and what degree is it? Is she really a Dr. ie does she have her Ph.D., or her M.D. or does she just *call* herself Dr. I met a woman once, who was pretty well known in my field. Everyone called her Dr. She never corrected them. In fact she wasn't a Ph.D.. But her own biography (the little page that presenters send out) said "...and did doctoral studies at..." what that basically meant was, she entered a Ph.D. program and did a semester. Okay, that's about 4-10 years short of a Ph.D. but whatever.
