Charlie and I (mostly me....hee hee) made this cat tree from a cedar log and other boards found at my dad's house. (he is a saver).
The cats sure seem to like it. :D

Sterling claimed the top, with Little Kim below him, Lucas below her and Ashley on the floor looking for a place to go too.

It looks wonderful -much better than many of the bought ones. I love that cedar block and the cats love it too:)

Very nice. I like the cedar log. Gives it a great look.
My Dad built me one for Christmas this past year. I'll have to see If I can find a good picture of it.

What a great picture! :) Seem like it will always be put to good use in your house! :) Has Sterling given up that top shelf yet?

Jen,
I am so impressed with your (& Charlies's) creative talent.
I feel so lazy, we're getting a new cat tree but we just ordered it online.

That's a great cat tree and the cats sure like it too. :) I wish that I could have built my own cat trees too but I'm not that good at constructing things. :)

What a great cat tree. And I'm sure there will almost always be a cat on every "branch."

I wish I had room for something like that, Kylie needs the exercise! :o
It looks great, but I fear you will have to make a few more, mommy!!

What a great idea - I really love the "trunk" in the middle, but in your house, I dont think you need a "TREE" - more like a "FOREST":D

Top of the line construction! It is attractive yet functional... and made from things your Dad had lying around! I just love resourceful people with clever ideas. Mucho props for a job well done!!! :D

That is absolutely FANTASTIC! And with it being a cedar log , your Cats will hopefully use it as a scratching pot! And I am betting that you didnt have to pay a fortune for it to put up. my Cats are officially envious!
Rascal is very envious! He would like to have one so that he can get away from Annie and Emma once in a while.
I like the all natural look - and love that it is made from recycled wood that you had on hand at your Dad's home.

Jen, it's a great cat tree and a brilliant idea! We've got a log from a cherry tree and found the remaining wood materials in our cellar, have even got the mounting brackets, all we need is some pieces of carpet - or robe. So out with the saw! :D
