View Full Version : Huge Infestation!!!!

I'll start at the beginning.

I asked rob to buy me some feeder swords for the pond because I miss fish swimming around in there. So one day he went out & bought 100 swords for my pond (I was at work).
I came home & was thrilled. saddly a few weeks later my filter hose ripped & I didn't notice until the next cleaning (a couple of days) & I was left with maybe 20 fish, & all the babies were gone :(
Evil filter :mad: So I cut the broken hose off & attached it back to the pump.

Well its about a month later & I have over 500 fish!!!!!!!! My pond is full of tiny fish, its insane!!!!!

The sad thing is, is that there is more room for about another 500 to 1000 fish.

This'll teach me for buying fish way too small for Axle to eat.

But atlease I can watch the school of fish swim around :)

Hehe... that would be soo cool... I love turtles... Axle is so cute!

I know I know the filter looks bad, its only a few days old & was changed later that night. Axle is a messy eater.

I don't have pics of a huge school of fish ony cause they r too tiny & I have to be close to the water or they don't show in the pic.

I hope thats not too big for some ppl...

Well I have about 100 newborn babies in the pond right now, I'll do my best to get some photos of them really soon, since it only takes a few weeks for them to be ablr to have babies & become large.

& ppl thing rabbits r bad, sheesh...

WOW that is a lot of fish!! Any chance the place they were bought would be interested in having some back? I know we bought about 200 mosquito fish from a guy who had a population explosion in his pond a few weeks ago! LoL!

At least they're fun to watch!

I can't return them because they live in turtle water, which isn't the cleanest water around. & if my fish made other fish sick or even killed them, I'd feel really really bad.
