New Rocky pics!!

This is Rocky, my mom's boyfriend's dog. He will be staying with us for a while because his owner was evacuated due to the fires. :(

I really need to suggest some things for him though. I don't want to offend his owner, but he's not in the best shape. His nails are so long that they go out to the side when he puts his paw down. He has massive mats on the backs of his ears that have already started to stick to his skin. I got one out, but he's terrifed of scissors and tried to bite me when I went back for another. He's also very fat lol. You can't feel a bone in his body and he doesn't really have a neck. :eek: I tried to take him for a walk, but apparently he isn't leash trained and might pull his collar off and run away. :( He hates Timber but she's such an idiot and tried to play with him while he was standing tail-up, teeth bared. So she's in time out because she was an idiot, she went nuts, and was jumping everywhere and running around the living room and she cut my foot with her stupid nail when I was trying to get her to stay back before he attacked her..aggh..:eek:

His owner who gave him up at 5 months said that he's a border collie lab cross, but I think he's a sheltie lab cross. :)

awww..I don't see much lab but I think I see loads of sheltie. Does he seem to like tennis balls? frisbees? You could slowly get his weight down with that..since he doesn't like the leash/collar.

I see spaniel and sheltie lol :o. I think that his owners should take better care of him.

Oh, my, he is adorable!:) :) he reminds me of my son`s family dog, Paddy, who is also a Border Collie cross

I think there's some spaniel too. :) He's very cute though. Maybe getting him into some sports like Ashley suggested would help with his weight problem.

I really want to get an idea of what he is, so I'm making a list of his traits. :)

-Before he got arthritis, he was obsessed with his ball. Ball after ball after ball. Never much cared for the frisbee though.
-He has webbed feet, but he's afraid of water. :rolleyes:
-He is 18 inches at the shoulder.
-He is a black and white ball of fluff.
-He's always been overweight.
-He doesn't like other dogs or small children and he likes to chase cats (except mine, he's afraid of her lol).
-He doesn't bark unless something is bothering him (Timber :rolleyes: )
-He has never jumped on furniture.
-He likes to sleep in the shade.
-His tail sticks straight out behind him, and curls at the end. It is whip-like but covered with fluff lol.
-He has very short legs.
-He is a picky eater when it comes to dog treats, but loves people food.
-He doesn't eat alot, and I've only seen him wolf down food when Timber is around.
-He isn't a good guard or watch dog, but I think that if his family was in danger he would protect till the end. :)
-He loves to go camping, he just loves the outdoors.
