New Addition!!!!

:D My mom's been saying I could have another dog for a while but I never really told anyone (minus those odd few) because I didn't want to get my hopes up. Well, today we went out and met a lady who had to rehome her pup. She agreed to let us have a "trial run" with him before we met. She told me he's a gsd/husky but I don't see any husky in him. He's 7 months old...and just a little brat already. He gets along great with Kai but the first time they met, they had a bit of a dispute. Once they were both off leash and frolicking, they forgot what they were doing earlier lol. I'm pretty sure kai's the alpha right now. The pup rolled on his back and licked kai. His original name was Max but we've decided to call him Xander. It's supposed to be a trial run but he's already fitting in nicely, I'm sure my mom will love him in no time also. Anywho..on with the pics...

I think he's got the body of a husky. His coloring and features look like German Shepard, but the body looks more husky like. But then again....what do I know about dogs. ;) :rolleyes:

And to emphasis that point, GSD means german shepard ____. What is the d for dog? German shepard "dog?" Doesn't sound right. So now that you all know I'm about as illiterate as they come when it comes to dogs.....:o :D

lol, alot of dogs have names like that. :) Catahoula leopard dog, Czechoslovakian wolfdog, Native American indian dog, Canadian Eskimo dog....and so on. ;)

I agree with you that the body looks more like a husky body. Also, the paws. They looks more like husky paws to me. And his ears don't look like GSD or husky ears, but when you have a cross sometimes you get unexpected ear shapes, sizes etc. ;)

Ohhh...belgian mal never crossed my mind. He does look like one doesn't he? Hmm..oh well, he's got some great breeds in him. He puked 3 times today though...maybe stress/bad food? His owners gave us his food..which happens to be the lowest possible quality of food you can get. We don't have any kibble left...only raw food so he's gonna have to stick with it until we go shopping. I'd give him raw but he puked the bone that he stole from Kai. I'll update with more pictures tomorrow ;)

Well, it wasn't meant to be I guess. My mom didn't like him for some reason...not sure why. So now, he's still looking for a forever home. :( I hope we find that 2nd special doggie for us soon...

Jynnelle, nothing big happened. He did sillly puppy things like the odd nip and such. I did manage to start clicker training with him though. He learned sit within a couple minutes...smart boy
