Isabella Ruby was born at 10:45pm on July 4, 2003 making me a very happy first time Auntie!

She was born with 'firecracker' red hair that she seems to be "moulting" at the moment. The new, thicker hair is growing in .....RED again! Yay!

She goes by Bella, which fits her perfectly since she couldn't be any more beautiful! She is just six weeks old today and growing like a weed!!! Well, the kind of weed that you WANT in your garden anyway. ;)

Thanks for all the compliments. You're right about growing up waaay too fast--- she is learning how to grab things now and she's been pulling my shirt whenever I'm holding her! She's also getting really good at holding up her gigantic head! ;) She's really a very strong little thing!!!

I only have 3 days left to visit with her before I fly back to school. I'm really going to miss her! :( I'm sure I'll go through some phases of "Bella withdrawl." However, I get to see her at Thanksgiving and then again at Christmas--- so I won't have to wait too terribly long! :D

If we take any more *extra cute* pictures in the next three days I'll be sure to add them to this thread. ;)

Bella and her family have already returned to the mainland but we had a great Christmas and New Year's together!

My parents decided to buy a high chair to keep at the house for Bella and future grandchildren. This cheapo chair was Bella's first time in a high chair because her parents have yet to find the model they want to buy for their home. She loved the high chair! She would turn into such a goofball whenever we put her up there - it was like her very own stage!

I probably won't have many more pictures until I see her over Spring Break! :( When she was here she learned how to give kisses! :D Since she gets kisses constantly on her cheeks and big baldy head we figure she is mimicking this. I would describe it as "suck face" rather than kissing, but it's very very very cute! :p The first time she did it, it put her mother and I into tears because we were laughing so hard and feeling very emotional at the same time.
