This poll prompted me to go to my Family website which I hadn't been to in a while. I'm Choctaw and Cherokee, not Blackfoot. I found a few cool pics I thought I'd share.

I picked Spanish since it's the closest. But I consider myself hispanic or latin since it includes more than just people who are from Spain. My moms side of the family is very spanish and they came to Texas (which was then Mexico) a few hundred years ago. My dads side of the family is from Mexico (well while it was still Mexico), I'm guess native and maybe some Spanish blood. My dad side of the family is much darker skinned then my moms side of the family. I like to laugh when people make comments about me or my family being "illegal" I always laugh and say that the U.S. bought my family and we had no choice in the matter.

I'm Canadian, but my bloodlines from my mother's and father's sides have been traced, and so I have English, Scottish and Danish lines from my mom's, and then from my dad's I have Romanian, Polish and German. :)

Tomkat- I have no idea when the pic was taken. It doesn't look very old, but I'm sure they can retouch them too. All it says is that it was taken in North Carolina and she was born in the mid 1800's. The photo says it's my grandpa's mom, but I think that's a typo. I think she's my great great grandmother, because my grandpa was probably born 1910-1920.

You know, I was in Spanish 2 before my schedual changed for school. Our teacher gives us all "spanish Names" to "get us in the mood". She gave me Soledad.

Thankfully, since I couldn't stand her Spanish 1 class, I got switched out.

Really? Soledad isn't too common a name. Although, there is a newspresenter by the name of Soledad O'Brien, so hopefully more people will be exposed to it. I think it's a very lovely name, but a lot of people misinterpret it.

Yeah, I had her pronounce it to me because I had no clue how to say it. She is Puerto Rican as well.

Honestly, the only things I could speak in Spanish are some of the rather not to nice words.:o

I'm an All-American mutt! Born and raised right here in the USA, my heritage includes (but isn't limited to) the following nationalities:

Swedish
English
French Canadian
Micmac (native american)
Scottish
Irish
Norman French
German
Bavarian
and only heaven knows what else!

When my parents got married, they looked at the family Rogues Gallery (okay, all the pictures from both sides of the family) and decided they could have just about any configuration of hair/eye color, size and shape, and it'd fit in the tree somewhere!

25% french
25% irish/english (wales/ireland)
& 25% Acanadian (almost extinced)

I'm a pail white colour & during the summer my hair gives a hint of red. I'm also short like the indians on my side, My great grandmother was just over 4 feet tall. & the funny thing is, is that I'm the tallest my my family (mom, dad, sister), I'm only 5 foot 5 inches. My sister was suspose to be alot taller then me but she thinks its a good idea to not eat & only weigh 90 pounds & shes medium build.

Rob is 25% algonquin indian & 25% french/german & 50% ukranian (his mom is pure).
Rob is mostly indian & german, his skin is darker like an indian & his face is more so german & his temper is more on the germanish side hehehehe...
