i will start at the beginning:

today at dog club friends of mine (they breed labradors) went home with an extra dog, "Higgins" the 6 month old black lab pup.

poor higgins had been dumped by his stupid owners, the woman walked up to my friends and said "we dont want the dog anymore you take him" my friends did not actually breed higgins but took him home anyway (with his pedigree papers, microchip etc)

how can someone just through away a sweet puppy :( it makes me soooo mad.

when i told my mother about him she was interested especially when i said our friends may try to re-home the little guy after he has been neutered.

oh also i will get pics hopefully on wednesday or saturday, as i did not take my camera with me today :)
he is soooo sweet though and a really nice looking pup

Such a sad story, but one with a happy ending! I'm so glad this beautiful, deserving pup is now safe in the loving care of your Lab loving friends! Wouldn't it be great if Higgins could come home to you!! I'll be keeping my paws crossed:) (Can't wait for the pics!)

Good news Higgins is now Henry Higgins :D and is most definatly staying with my friends, he is not house/toilet trained but it is being worked on.

also all the other dogs just sniffed at him when he went home and accepted him strait away (which is wondeful) :D

my friends rang henrys breeder and told her his story and it turnes out the breeders husband had insisted on giving one his workmates a pup for free, and the wife thought it was suspicious from the beginning and was horrified when she heard about henry being "thrown away"

but all is well and he is happy and has made a couple of good friends with the other labs in the houshold, and he even had an offer from the guide dogs australia to join them for guide dog training (he is not motivated and is a bit slow mentally so it would not have worked out) thank goodness for that ;)

still going to get pics at training today if he comes in for a play and to socialise :D
