muddy, Muddy, MUDDY! (*pics*)

OK, so this afternoon, Malone & I were playing out in the yard. We had plans to go to dinner with Mark's parents, his brother & sister-in-law, and his Aunt. So we were just killing time playing out in the yard, and I decided to just take him for a 10 minute walk to kill time even faster.

We head down the trail next to our house with Malone on a 25' retractable leash. He was flying ahead of me, and I saw him grab something. UH oh! I got close to him as fast as I could as I saw the "something" slide down his gullet. There was a bunch of trash there (melon peels, strawberries uggh!) and I am *hoping* it was nothing serious.

Anyway, he knew he was in trouble, so he decided to go into "butt tucking" mode. He is racing around running back & forth wildly. The leash flew from my hand and he went running into the brush in the woods. And then, he came out looking like this:

So home we raced, and had a BATH!!! It took both Mark & I to try and get him washed in time so no pictures there. By the time we were done, both Mark & I were soaked to the skin (change clothes in a hurry) but Malone was all fresh and clean and looked like this:

We ended up being 45 minutes late for dinner, but at least we have a nice and fuzzy clean pupper to come home to!! :D

Took bout 5 tripz inna lake (anna lil rubbin) affore the Standard Issue Grey Furr started to show thru da Black GOOK!

But then... Malone mitta been *pressed fur tyme*.
