Prayers Please...

I've been mulling over whether or not to post this. Finally, I decided to heck with it, extra prayers can never hurt.

When it rains, it pours...

1. My school situation is in a HUGE mess. I won't go into details but it looks like I may not be attending this semester. Which means, I'll have to reapply for the next and go through the whole waiting period again. (Had to wait almost a year to get in this go around.) Also, it looks doubtful that I'll be moving which has me pretty uppieset seeing that, I've already put my notice into work and I was REALLY looking forward to getting out of this town.

2. A couple of weeks ago, Mom went to WV/Maryland to visit her dad/Aunt Nancy. She's home now but very worried about Aunt Nancy's condition -- it's much worse than she's letting on. Nancy goes to the doctor next week (or possibly the wk after); at that point, the doc will determine whether or not chemo is an option. ("Good" news if it is, bad if it isn't....)

3. My dad's Mom was bitten by a brown recluse spider awhile back. Due to her poor circulation, the wound has yet to heal. They are thinking they may have to amputate the leg. (If that happens, a whole new can of worms will be opened up.) Then last night, she was admitted to the hospital; she had a 'mild' heart attack. They will do surgery on Monday or Tuesday.

Sorry to unload all this on you guys but my stress level is about to hit the roof.

Tonya, I really, really believe it does the heart and soul good to unload ones troubles with people who will care and understand. You have come to the right place, girl. We care about you so much and want the best for you and your loved ones.

As I am a *worrier* by nature, please take it from me, that worry does not help much of anything. I know it there is only so much one can do to limit it, but please try. Try to sort out what you can do to help this situations at hand from what is completely out of your control. Turn that part over to God. Really, really turn it over to him.

In the meantime, keep us up on what is going on. Vent when you need to and we'll keep the prayers coming too.

Aunt Nancy DID have chemo yesterday. The doc said her lungs were looking much better. Also, some of her tumors appear to be shrinking the others are the same size -- aren't shrinking but aren't growing. The doc wants her to take more of her pain meds b/c THEY are what appear to be making the most impact (ie making the tumors shrink/lungs stay clear!). Nancy's worried about this because there's a high chance that she can become addicted to them.

As for Grandma, welll... no news is good news, I guess. Haven't heard ANYTHING and can't get anyone to answer their phones.

Things holding up OK today Tonya? PetTalk has grown so large it's hard to keep up with everyone - unfortunatly even with some of our favorite people, like you of course. Sorry, but I'm another one that missed this the first time. I'm glad to hear Aunt Nancy is doing good - relatively speaking. I know the thought of being addicted is scarey, but I think I would worry about getting rid of the tumors first, then worry about going through withdrawals once I made it past the tumors. My mom also took a pass on some paid medication because she didn't want to become addicted. So she lives with unneccessary pain everyday. :( But until I'm in their shoes, who am I to judge.
