It's unbelievably hot here today and though it's quite early in the morning Nellie prefers to stay in the shade...
everything looks so dry and burnt, but Nellie's still the prettiest "plant" in my garden...tehee...

But what was that?!

Maybe a mousie...she has to investigate..."Mousie, come here!"

I want a "sprig" of that Nellie "plant" so I can grow one of my own. She is such a beauty.

WOW, that must be the elusive, difficult to grow, Cremesicle, so, so rare in the US. I had heard there was a sprig or two in Europe, and now I have proof!

I just love the abandoned way they act, UNTIL they hear the smallest sound, and must go investigate. Beware of the 'tamed' cat...

I don't know your growing season, but, would you accept an order for ten sprigs come my spring?

When I opened this thread my husband was in the room. I called him over to look at the "Creamsicle!"

Cremesicle

Then I saw your comment Cataholic! Great minds...etc. etc......

Nellie.....now there's a cat with not a worry in the world!

A house without a cat is like a garden without flowers!

Hmm, Do you think I could get a sprig of Nellie plant to grow near the bushes outside my apartment?
She's the first plant I ever saw ask for a belly rub. :)

Oh my Nellie! I am captivated by your beautiful self and that "come hither" look as you lay there on your back waiting for a tummy rub, not to mention your GORGEOUS ORANGE FUR! Do you think I have a chance with you? Your furry admirer from afar. **sigh** Trevor

Oh, I love this picture of that beautiful Nellie. She's certainly
found the right place to "plant" herself. :D She's got it made
in the shade. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid72/pbc58a53b0faee613f3be68002f4ae5ae/fb7fd77e.jpg

Oh Nellie, My mom told me you sent me a PM and I jumped up on her lap to read it right away. I am so excited - my little kitty heart is thumping! I would love to walk through your garden with you, but alas! I am not even allowed outside! My mom tells me things are different way over across the ocean because most of the kitties are free to walk outside with the wind blowing in their fur and the feel of the garden under their paws. For the time being our romance will be confined to words on a keyboard but I do find you captivating. I look forward to seeing more pictures of you my sweet.

Yours with lots of purrs,
Trevor
PS - Here I am daydreaming about you my pretty one. :)

Is it true? I hear they only come into full bloom early in the morning (breakfast) and early evening (dinner time).

Creamsicle - I haven't had one of those in years!

I am totally confused by these references to Creamsicles. What are they?

lbaker

They are sorta like Good Humor ice cream bars on a stick made with vanilla ice cream in the middle and sort of a frozen light orange sherbert stuff on the outside. YUM

Exactly, and they are soooo yummy!! Like frozen creamy orange juice on a stick. I haven't had one in years either. Hmmm...have to stop at the grocery store on my way home....

And how exciting! Not only is Nellie blooming in the garden, but love is blooming in the air too! Trevor, I'm so happy for you sweetie. Nellie looks like a perfect match for you, and the pic of her sending you kissies is just too sweet. :D

A Creamsicle Sprig - LOL! LOL! LOL! - and what a cute little thing it is!! Gosh I never even saw him leave the house! I'll have to question him about his whereabouts lately, although he has had the big snip! LOL! :o Could it be that Fister has had something to do with that Creamsicle Sprig? After all he is another handsome orangie and is very savvy when it comes to travel and does live closer to beautiful Miss Nellie. :)

Fister here .... I can assure you all that I have had nothing to do with any strange plants - except my new delicious capnip plant. :D I go crazy when my mom nips a leaf off and gives me, sometimes she breaks it up and hide bits under things - she says, I need some action, but it's really too hot for that!

I think Nellie is such a darling! She looks a lot like my long lost sister.

Oh, Nellie, I'm so envious of your lovely garden, can we get together and grow some more ?

Trevor, that close-up of you are just priceless!! We don't see nearly enough of you. ;)
