My husband and I had just moved into our new apartment, and got up early in the morning to drive to Lehigh University. It was about a 3 hour drive, and we were so tired from the move the day before.
We got there, and found the green motor home with New York tags on it, and knocked at the door. A woman named Kay answered the door. She turned around, and said "come meet your new family"----and out of the door came a beautiful Shiba Inu---it was Kito!!!:) :) :) :)
I walked him around the field, and was amazed by his strength, but in love with his smile and charm. We went back in for a bit, talked to the couple who had him, signed some papers, and left.
We put him in the car, and made a stop at a pet store--we got him a few toys, and a dish for water on the ride home. We made a quick stop at my brother-in-law's house, to show off our new pup!!
During the entire 3 hour trip home, he didn't make a sound--we got home, continued to show him off, even taking him to an ice cream social, and shopping for more toys, and off to visit a few friends.
He quickly made himself at home in our apartment--found where he liked to sleep, found his dishes, and just loved us from the very first day!!!
I can't believe it's been a year---I cannot remember our lives without this boy!!!
This was one of the first pictures after he came to live with us:
