Ok, 4:00, my friend arrived and picked me up and we were on our way to the Medina County Fair where Montgomery Gentry were performing at. The show time was at 8pm, so we drove there and got there about 5:30 - We took the back roads instead of the highway since it was easier to get there. We listened to a CD I made, that had mix of songs I liked.. and "What a Beautiful Day" came on and Cathy was SINGING and I was like, dude, you and I are going next year to see Cagle! And so I sang along too as well..
So we got there..and we had a lot of time to kill so we walked around the county fair, and it was fun. My friend bought a corn dog and I bought a funnel cake and dipping dots (ice cream) - since we didn't really eat anything for dinner, but that funnel cake filled me right up. It started to pour an hour before the show! Me and my friend went under a tent to stay dry so we waited for 20 minutes before the rain stopped, then we walked around more and finally, around 7pm, the gates opened and we went to our seats, and we had a good view of the stage and everything. That was great. So I decided to take few pictures of the area, got one of the stage and the bus. Music started to play, and I was starting to get really excited and I kept telling my friend, Cathy that she would really like them. I got a blue t-shirt that said "My Town" and it had a picture of them on the front, and the tour dates on the back..
8pm - the show started! "All Night Long" was the first song! Whoo hoo! They sang all the popular songs.. now when "Speed" came on, I went BESERK! I just yelled at others and my friend that this was my song, haha.. I called my brother to let him hear "All Night Long".. and I called Jamie and Jenn.. Montgomery Gentry did awesome with ALL of the songs! The songs I remember.. are "All Night Long", "Lonely and Gone", "Hillbilly Shoes", "Daddy Won't Sell the Farm", "She Couldn't Change Me", "Cold One Comin' On", "Speed", "Hell Yeah", and "My Town"..
T-roy looked HOT as hell! Couldn't take my eyes off him! Haha. I took 2 rolls of film, and about 15 of them turned out pretty good. They both were very energetic on stage and T-roy was pretty hilarious, he did some silly dance often onstage.. he talked about how he was proud to be a rural traditionalist and that how he loved to sing and write songs and so on.. that was cool..
Now at the end of the show, it started to STORM! There were a lot of lightning going on few songs before the show was over, and it was starting to freak my friend out because she didn't really like thunderstorms, I kept telling her it'll be okay and not to worry and just try to have fun.. then after they were done, we just made our way out of the fairgrounds, she and I ran, and I held on to her bag! She was running so fast, and I was trying to catch up and I was basically out of breath, and I couldn't run any longer. We finally got to the car and we were just so exhausted. It still was pouring, lightning and thundering, and we were starting to get freaked out while we were driving. We were in the country and it is so different than driving in the city. We couldn't really see anything, and I was started to get scared and I told my friend to pull over to something so we could wait til' the rain died down but she wouldn't, so I told her to be careful and basically we got home safely, but I was shaking a little afterwards. My friend enjoyed the show, and she is thinking about seeing Rascal Flatts in October, since we are going to an show next month, with 6 artists at the Cuyahoga County Fair.. - Terri Clark, Jo Dee Messina, Sammy Kershaw, Diamond Rio, Sherrie' Austin, and Dusty Drake. So we are both looking foward to that. We are definitely going together to see Kenny next too as well. She admits she wants to see Chris Cagle too! So WHOO HOO! She says she has a list of artists, I think I've done a good job with her after she saw Kenny in concert couple weeks ago.. Go me! :) Here are a couple of pictures.. Enjoy..
