i bought a HUGE beach towel about 4 months ago.

i owned it for 3 months.

i washed it, folded it, and placed it at the foot of the bed.

then Eddie took it over,
now if i try to move it or use it.....i get hounded and chased and 'talked to' until the
towel goes back to the foot of the bed.

first it was my fleece pullover, now it's my towel. what should i do???

Throw in your white "surrender" towel.

I have lost several pieces of clothing, blankets, duffel bags, and most recently an entire inflatable "spare" bed in the guest bedroom.

It's no use trying to win this battle. ;)

Well, I say you should just "throw in the towel" and give up. You'll never win. These are the things I've lost...
.....my late Dad's soft velour robe
.....my favourite blankie with a pic of cat on it
.....my old camping sweatshirts

**sigh** we shared some good times together......

Oh yes, THIS part of living with cats is, um, fun?

Olivia has comandeered so many things. But doesn't keep them for long, luckily. ;)

Sorry you lost your towel and shirt...take it as a compliment...he thinks you have good taste.

First of all you got buy two more towels. You fold one up and put it in the drawer/closet where it belonged in the first place  and you can now say that's your towel. You then fold the other one up and put it on the end of the bed next to Eddie's. Then, the next thing you do is go to a shelter and get Eddie a buddy. See.....what he's trying to tell you is he wants something soft and fuzzy to cuddle with, and for now the towel is the best he's got. When you pick it up, you're taking his best buddy away from him, so of course he has to follow you around and tell you to put it back so he can have his buddy back.

Geesh....when are you ever going to learn cat speak.

;) :D ;) :D

As it is summer, Eddie needs a beach towel right now. So you can have the fleece pullover from March to September. I am sure Eddie will leave you the towel from October to February.
That's fair, isn't it?

Oh Richard I know just how you feel!!! Sometimes it's hard to "let go" but you must keep a stiff upper lip (if we can see it under the mustache...) and carry on. Your new beach towel will not be the same but in time you will grow to care about it just as much.

If not, there's always the 12-step program.....

I actually keep a beach towel at the end of my bed - Sid and Joxer both like sleeping there.

Please, please, PLEASE don't tell them that its the oldest, most worn out towel that I have - they thing they are sleeping on towels from the Ritz.:D
