Thanks Rottie. I posted a while back that Animal Planet has a made for TV movie about war dog heroes. Still looking for when it's on. Should be soon. Sorry I can't be there in person. Will be in spirit though. It's about time!

Rottie, I'm so pleased that you will be at this very special event honouring US war dogs.
Last weekend we stopped by the memorial to the Australian tracker dogs who served in Vietnam. It's built beside a walking track alongside a beautiful beach.
Would you do me a favour, across the distance? Would you lay just one single flower at the war dog statue & whisper that this is from the war dogs of Australia in honour of the war dogs of the US?
Thank you so much if you decide to do this.

Rottie, thank you for letting us know. I
will have to see if I can talk my husband out of his Sunday golf game. (Don't hold your breath.)

Angel, that is such a touching gesture and there isn't a better person to make such a presentation than Rottie.

The war dog movie I believe is going to be May 25th. Or at least there is going to be a war dog movie on that day! Here's the url about it: http://animal.discovery.com/tuneins/rain.html

Well my work may be sending me to IL a bit earlier then planned. I may be in IL during this war dog memorial and I may be able to go http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif I guess we'll see. Are we allowed to bring dogs to this event? I'll let you know if work sends me early, and if so I'll be able to see any of you pet-talkers. Hopefully I can find out 100% from work so I will be able to make vacation plans too. I'll let you know.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome to come! There will probably be K-9 police dogs there & of course other peoples dogs. Just FYI!
