No, it's not for Bassett.. she's fine! :)

It's my uncle (my dad's sister's hubby). He was having stomach pains, and was scheduled for a galbladder surgery. Well, it isn't his galbladder at all - he has inoperable stomach cancer. There is a huge tumour, and it has spread into his liver. They are starting chemo and radiation right away, but it's mostly to try and stop the growth and shrink the tumour to make him more comfortable, not because it would be a "cure".. this is a very serious case and his doctor told him "you have to pray because this calls for a miracle" :(

I know your prayers worked miracles on Bassett.. do you think you could also include my Uncle Eddie in there too? He is still young, and has a 16yr old son who looks like he will have a promising chance at baseball scholarships and stuff.. it's too sad to think about it :(

Please pray for Uncle Ed.

Oh my what a shock to think it would be something routine like a gall bladder surgery and then get this news! :( I know so many people who are suffering with cancer these days. I'm going to talk to my mom today about what services Hospice offers the family in times like this...maybe they have something/someone your aunt can talk to, I know lots of clergypeople volunteer for Hospice. Maybe that could help her?

Sorry I didn't see this sooner...

He was feeling well enough to go see his son play baseball in Oregon, so I think that's a good sign :) As far as I know, he starts treatments this week. He's also been able to gain a bit of weight with protein drinks and heavy soups (the tumour prevents him from swallowing solid foods, as it's butting against the esophagus). So, things are going well for now :) Thanks for asking :)
