This is my back yard. I live in a city row house so the yard is small. Here are a few pictures. (The look always changes depending on which plants are bloming)

It's a clematis. It is a climbing vine.

I have two purple varieties of Clematis. Just haven't seen that particular one.

When I read GARDEN, I had to stop and read.
I love the flowers, just beautiful.
I bet you love to sit out back, or look out
your window.

Jen, you have achieved a little bit of Heaven right there in your back yard. Congratulations on a beautiful garden. Your flowers, like your cats, show the effects of your tender, loving care.

Jen, your garden is just beautiful! I must admit that I too love to be outside digging in the dirt and planting things and making the world a prettier place in my own small way. Since the arrival of Bella I have had to tone it down a little though. In the past she loved to dig up anything that was newly planted. In fact one of the things she dug up was my kitties' catnip plant. Boy were "the boys" mad about that! Your pictures have given me a thought to try again. Maybe she is able to leave things alone. She has stopped digging holes and, after all she is a little older now. Aaah, one of the many nice things about cats - they don't dig up the yard! :)

Jen, you must have a green thumb! I have some work to be done in my yard, you want to come to Vermont for a couple of weeks and get me started? Wow, how impressive. Really. Such beauty is one yard. You do really nice things with plants and cats...my guess is that you are good at/with many things! Right?

More pictures of your cats would be nice too.

Jen, the garden is absolutely gorgeous! Not only are you the consummate kitty mom, but you've got a green thumb as well:) It's obvious, living things love you! And like all good gardener's you know you don't have to have a huge plot to make a beautiful retreat! I love your use of vertical space! And the Clematis is stunning! Have you ever planted Autumn Clematis?? It has less spectacular flowers but it's fragrant, blooms much later (when most of the garden is finished) and it tolerates quiet a bit of shade! More pics...season by season!!:)

What a pretty garden! I want you to screen in the entire yard so the kitties can go outside and smell the flowers!!! Beautiful.

I went to a house in Florida and the lady had just that. The whole back yard, small wired, for birds and her dog. She did it so bugs wouldn't come in. Some day I will do this, but at another house.

Wow, that is beautiful ... like a little country cottage garden. Do the furkids go outside at all and play hide n seek? :)

Years ago (I was about 18) I visited my brother and his then (first) wife. They lived in one of the the row houses. I loved them. The only issue was parking was the pits!! My SIL had to drive around the block until someone finally moved their car. Then I'd stand in the spot and wait for her to come back. Is the parking STILL that bad??? But Philly is cool!!

I absolutely LOVE your garden. I wish I had a yard to plant flowers in. They seems to have a real calming effect. You can just sit out there, look at all the beautiful colors and let your mind wander.

Great job Jen!!

You sure have a green thumb...your plants look so happy and healthy. I bet its so nice to sit out there with a cup of coffee or tea and listen to the birds chirping.
