Micah has been on his W/D (ONLY) for a few weeks and he's so much better! He's running around the apartment like a bullet, playing with Hermoine and even flopping on his side!!! I'm so happy!

Here are a few Micah pics...he's gotten darker in color, more Aby-like.

I am so happy that the health situation at your home has taken a turn for the better! Wow, such a long road. Fingers and paws crossed for your continued good health - pet wise AND HOW ARE YOU DOING?

I am glad the W/D is working. As I mentioned before, after some time, and of course only you will know when it is time, it is probably a good idea to try mixing a little of the other's dry food with the W/D, to test the waters! W/D is really, really high fiber and for most cats (normal ones) it is not a good idea to have a steady diet of it. MY VET didn't like the idea of Miley being on it forever, so I am mixing her food. Miley never had the situation Micah had/has but was having problems.

Good luck deary. You are reaping the rewards of having an Aby cat around the house! They are little characters to say the least!

SAS, thanks so much for your kind words. You've been so helpful with Micah. :) I ordered some powdered vitamines from Drs. Foster Smith as well as this liquid stuff for digestive health...its kind of a natural treatment for what he has. I know it'll help him feel and look so much better. :D

YAY! Micah definately looks more aby like now and not pale! When his paws start turning white at the tips let us know. The breeder here said thats when you know an aby truly is happy! I will see if i can get a pic of Bastet's paws! I am so happy he is doing so well! Congrats and thanks for saving him :D

I can't even tell you how wonderful our home is with Micah in it. He's such a delight. :)

Hermoine too...she's so sweet and while Basie, Noah and Micah are her playmates, I'm mommie and she sleeps against me at night. :D It never gets old...ever. :D

Interesting that Abys paws go lighter when they are happy.

Does that happen to Black cats too, as both George & Treacle are NOW growing white guard hairs. Me & Steve were joking that the shelters must have sprayed them black before we adopted them ;)

I am not sure with other cats but the Aby breeder's cats all had pale/ white guard hairs on their paws. They are such beautiful markings too!
