Today, Binx went in for his biopsy workup and nuetering. I should know the results of the biopsies in ten days. The samples are being taken from his mouth, forearm and pelvic area, and will be sent to both a human and vet histologist. Hopefully, one of the two will be able to identify just what Binx's condition is, hopefully, hopefully, hopefully. Can't effectively treat what you don't know is kind of the theme.

So, if you all wouldn't mind crossing a paw or two for my big baby boy, who weighed in at 81 pounds this am, he and I would appreciate it!!!

Why are you having a biopsy done on Binx? Were you finding lumps on him? Our oldest boy Callihan (8yrs) has quite a few lumps on him and we've had them tested and they were all benign.

Binx will be fine!

:D :D :D

Bnormal-
Binx has a 'condition' in his mouth, and in an effort to dx it, he is having multiple samples taken from his mouth, arms and pelvic area...the first sir jury didn't 'cure' him, so, this is phase two. No lumps, bumps, other than his entire gummy mouth. The mouth problem 'seems' connected to his forearms/hips somehow...it is called elephantitis (Phred, am I spelling that right?).

Pam...here is a lighter side of today....I wasn't able to easily remove his 22" nylon collar today!!! I remember when I bought the 24 and 26 ", and realized they were WAY to big for him..so, I bought the 22"...well, six weeks later...I have to already move up. He has a head the size of a basketball!!! So, I will give him a hug from you. I can still easily hug his tail, when it isn't wagging, that is...

The head the size of a basketball. That's just about the right size for your lap!:) All the better to give Binx a lot of loving.

How I hope that all is well. He is such a beautiful boy.

Thanks for posting, I was just thinking about him yesterday and almost started a thread to ask about him.

Saintly-loving prayers for Binx.

And 81 pounds is certainly still huggable, In fact, Freckles, our old Saint Bernard, was 185 lbs, and perfectly huggable, even for my Mom, who was a short person, with short arms!
