I thought of Bridget and Daisy immediatly when I read this http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif
Raiding The Trash Can

Nearly all puppies and most adult dogs will get into
the
trashcan if they possibly can. The enticement of all
those
aromas is overwhelming. Expecting your dog to not
investigate the source of these smells is not
realistic.
The facts that you don't smell anything and you
don't want
to clean up the mess is not sufficient incentive to
deter
your dog from hours of fun and discovery, especially
if
there's nothing else to do. In addition to the
annoyance of
having to clean up the mess, there are dangers.
Paper
towels used for microwaving bacon will be saturated
with
bacon grease and will likely be eaten. Paper plates
and
disposable containers used in the microwave may be
eaten as
well. There may be toxic things stuck to these
irresistible
items that the dog wouldn't normally eat, like
cigarette
ashes or coffee grounds. Did you know that fabric
softener
sheets are toxic to dogs and that they will eat
them?

Solution: Never give your dog the opportunity to get
into
the trash. The honor system does not apply. You'll
never
know what he ate. In addition to toxic dangers,
there's
also the danger of ingesting things that will not
pass
through his system and may require surgical removal.
Hide
your trash container in a cabinet or pantry where
the dog
can't get to it.

We know you are hungry, poor little Daisy. Your mom is depriving you of good things to eat. Ha Ha!!!!

Daisy and Bridget, I couldn't help but think of you either! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

LOL oh Shai's Mom, that's totally Daisy for ya, right there! Hehe! I will have to be more careful remembering to put the trash our of her reach when we leave. Who knows what she eats in there.

And Logan, yeah my poor 50 lb. dog is very food deprived... HA! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Thanks for the laugh, everyone http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif Glad you all think of my mischeivous babe when you hear of trash cans being knocked over! LOL.
