When you look into my eyes, I know just what you'll see.
There is only love and trust, where fear once used to be.

For I was an abandoned pet - a cold and hungry stray.
But you reached out your gentle hands, and took me home to stay.

I've eagerly accepted the compassion you have shown.
I soon forgot the times when I was frightened and alone.

You opened up your heart to me and taught me how to trust.
You've given me a loving home where kindness is a must.

So, when you gaze into my face, I hope you'll realize,
That love without condition is reflected in my eyes.

ok...if those eyes reflect unconditional love, what do these eyes reflect? :D

Mr. Ears wanted to make an appearance, too (but in a more manly color  :D ).

She is so gorgeous Tonya!

Its amazing to me that ANY of the cats end up at the shelter. When we are there, I sit and cuddle or play with the furries and I swear I ask David, "How on earth could anyone let this cat go??"

Glad you and K'Cee found each other, you are both so lucky! :)

Thanks Mary, Steffi, & Katie! I think she's stunning, but I'm pretty biased. ;)

Kelly - Doesn't it just break your heart? I don't know how or WHY anyone would dump K'Cee -- she's purrfect! (yet again, a biased answer ;) )

Tonya, she's gorgeous and I'm also glad that you found each other. :D All four of my male cats think that K'Cee is a babe. :) My Storm and new furkid Sky were also shelter cats.

Oh, Tonya, K'Cee is so beautiful. She does look a lot like Krissy...

In my whole life I have never been to a shelter. I suppose it is because my cats seem to come to me - they just show up in my backyard - homeless. I don't think I could handle going to a shelter, because I would want to save every single one of them.

And it would break my heart......................

More Krissy, you say? Here she is! We took her in 8 years ago, as a stray - can you imagine not wanting our little precious? She and K'Cee do look like long-lost twins.

This picture seems to fall right into my post about cat rules.

Krissy is not allowed on the furniture............
O.K. Krissy IS allowed on the dining room table............but not on any other furniture.:D :D

Aw K'Cee is a gorgeous kitty.:) I loved the poem. It's great.

Wanted to give you a peek at a litter being fostered for the
Southside Animal Shelter. Here's a little female Holly.

I really don't understand how someone could dump such a byootiful furkid! But, someone dumped my Pixel, so there are plenty of idiots out there who can't appreciate a lovely kitty when they see one!

They all need their heads checked!

The reason a cat as special as K'Cee was at a shelter was because really special people go to shelters to rescue really special cats!

See the reason Krissy is allowed on the table and counter tops - her mortal enemy, Ginger. Ginger can't stand poor Krissy. If Krissy only had the confidence to stand up to her, I'm sure Ginger would back off as she is one big chicken.
