Please pray for a very good friend of mine, Marisa. She has cerebral palsy, she is depressed, has liver disease, and was raped a while ago. She has a diary that I read and it makes me so sad the way she feels. She says she knows she is going to die in the end and the only hope is a liver transplant and she is having liver surgery soon. (The date hasn't been set) Please pray for her during her surgery, the doctor says she has a 55% chance of recovering. I HOPE SHE IS GONNA BE OKAY!! :(

I'll have everyone I know keep their fingers and paws crossed. Doctors always give the doom and gloom statistics. 55% doctor talk is usually 98% regular people talk!! Best of luck!!

Here is an update she gave me:

I had five different blood tests done yesterday. This is just the start of my long and painful journey. And I'm hoping to have the same encouaragement and support just like I give all my other friends.
I am not schudled for my liver sergery yet. I have to wait until the blood test come back. I'm really scared because I'm at high risk for inturnal bleeding and all that horrible stuff. So send me a card or something!!!! I'm just kidding! All I can ask is for you guys to support me. That is enough.

How incredibly sad, that one person has had so much pain in her life.
I hope with all my heart the surgery is successful and your friend makes a good recovery.
Give her a big HUG from me and tell her i am thinking of her, and wish her the very best .:)

Please tell Marisa that prayers and best wishes are going her way for a successful surgery and recovery. Is there any way we can send her a card?

I am going to send her an e-mail of everyone's replies. She will be happy, I hope, and she really needs some cheering up. She needs to know that people DO care about her well-being.

sending her prayers! but, I just wonder, is the 55% at all because of her cerebal palsy? my brother is going to need a liver transplant eventually and I hope the odds would be higher than that.

I hope she gets her operation soon and that all turns out well for her! prayers for her full recovery!

I don't know if it's from the cerebral palsy, but it may be because of the different degrees of the liver disease. I know her's is really, really bad and progressed. She's been sick all her life, and I believe the liver disease has slowly progressed from when she was younger.
I hope your brother is okay, and I hope his odds are much higher. Good luck!
