I'd like to take this time to thank everyone who makes Pet Talk what it is. A special thank you to the moderators and web master(s) for creating and maintaining this great site. And thank you also to all the great members who make Pet Talk as special and fun as it is. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

I have learned so much here, and I can't really imagine life without it. Lately it seems I've been spending at least an hour every day just at this site. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

It wouldn't be the same without any of you! Thanks! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Oh Sara! You are such a beloved member of Pet Talk. What would WE do without you! And of course, Carl is definitely "Top Dog!" http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif But I agree with you. I don't know what I'd do without (or did before) Pet Talk. Thanks to everyone, including of course Karen and Paul, and especially all of the beautiful furkids, for sharing your friendship and advice and your humor! And to all of you who have painfully helped me to learn how to post pictues.... my undying gratitude for your patience! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

I'm glad I'm not the only one who spends so much time here. I shutter to think that I might not have found this website. Today we were at a White Hen and when I came out of the store there was this car parked next to ours and it had in it the most beautiful GSD and a little scruffy terrier. The woman was sitting in the car with the dogs and she saw me looking at her dogs (more like craning my neck so I could get a good look at them) and she smiled. I thought to myself, "She understands, she's one of us." I wish I would have had a little card printed up that told about Dog of the Day and Pet Talk and would invite someone to visit this site.

And Sara, you are treasured here. You and some of the other younger souls are so mature, insightful, and grounded, it blows me away.

And Sandra, now that you know how to post pictures, we want to see more!!!

I would like to also say how happy I have been since I have found this site too. The people I have met here are just plain wonderful and we share that special common bond. My own family and friends are complaining that they get shorter e-mails these days. That is because I sort of give myself a time limit for sitting in front of the computer each day so something must be sacrificed and it certainly isn't going to be my Pet Talk time! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

I have printed out the wonderful Where's Waldo pictures that Aly made and they are on my wall (my Pet Talk family) and I almost know each dog by name.

I have told my vet about Pet Talk and also the breeder who I purchased Bella from. It is the best place on the internet! Thank you so much Karen and Paul for providing this wonderful place for us all to gather. We really don't know what we'd do without it!

Rachel, by the way, what is the White Hen?

In response to the thanks ---

You're welcome! We love doing this site, obviously, and adding the Pet Talk bulletin board has made it even more fun. It is all of you who read and post who have made it the community it has become!

On another note:
Hee hee, we used to have "White Hens" around here - they're a convenience store chain, like 7/11 or Store 24.

As I too would like to say thanks to Karen and Paul. I also want to say thank you all for being such loving and careing owners to your pets. If it wasn't for people like you guys and myself there would be stray and unloved dogs all over. I have no idea how people with out dogs are able to survive.

Thanks for being such good friends to me here on pet talk!

Bit late in saying 'Thank You', too (time differences Down Under). There IS something special about Pet Talk...there is a maturity here that has nothing to do with age, a generosity that comes right from the heart & a love of pets that lights up cyberspace. The moderators set this tone which 'collects' like-minded people.
I know what RachelJ means about wishing she had little cards to share the site with others she meets.
An idea which is a little like that...all of the rescue people who communicate thro' the OzDogRescue site here in australia have decided that we'll wear a small ribbon of a certain colour when we go to pet events & places. Then we'll always recognize each other.
Once again, thank you, Karen, Paul & all the Pet Talkers from whom I've learned so much & for whom I have the greatest respect as people and animals lovers.

I am also a bit late, but I don't have a good excuse...other then I spent the ENTIRE day yesterday spoiling my mom so I did not even get a chance to LOOK at a computer http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif Boy am I worn out after one full day going where ever she wanted to go and doing whatever she wanted to do...moms need LOTS of rewards for being such good moms http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Anyway, I would like to again thank Karen and Paul for their incredible site! I would be devistated without pet talk and all of the wonderful people I have had the pleasure of meeting here. I would also like to thank all of you pet talkers for, as Rachel said, accepting me even though I am obsessed with dogs http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif we are all a special breed of human...dog lovers, true dog lovers could talk for hours a day, every day about their own dogs and other peoples dogs. Pet talk, and all of the members, allow the chance to be truly who we are without feeling silly and alone. I love you guys http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif Hope all you mamma's and pop's had a great momma's day yesterday!

As a Momma and a Nana I am also late, had a very busy Mothers Day with the family, but it was so nice to get together. I would also say it was so nice to find this board, we (my husband and I) love our dogs so much it is to the point that I think our family thinks we may be a little odd. I want to thank Karen and Paul for sharing this love of animals with us and all the people here who also share a love of their best friends, it is a circle of love. By the way, guess what? Our kids bought me a laptop for Mothers Day so I can keep up with Pet Talk when we are traveling or my husband is on the computer. Now that is dedication.

Karen, Paul, and all the wonderful dog fans in this site: Thank you for always being there with advice, love, and understanding. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/cool.gif
It's so great to know that there are so many generous and responsible people owned by their dogs http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif and as dedicated to them as I am.
Not a day goes by when I don't check Pet Talk, even if I have no time to search for anything else on the Web.

Oops, I neglected to say my thank you's to Karen and Paul. Guess holidays bring out our appreciation, which really does exist all year through. So thank you so much. There is wisdom, warmth, a wealth of information, humor, common sense and a marvelous ability to look at issues in an objective and caring way in those moderator posts. Sometimes you've been an arbitrator, sometimes a teacher, but always generous with your time and talents.

I have this site as my home page on my home computer and my work computer. I don't post stuff that often, but I do check for new posts atleast each hour during my day.

I talk to people in a pet chat room, and constantly think to myself that I should tell them about this bulletin board. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

And I owe it all to Karen and Paul who had the insight and creativity and SMARTS to develop this site for us passionate pet people!! Thanks guys! You're the BEST!! By the way, are you related? xoxox

Ah, our beloved Pet Talk! I don't know what I did online without it! Thank you so much Karen and Paul, and all of you who have made it such a fun, warm, and knowlegde-filled place! We are all truly special animal lovers. Just loving animals doesn't make you an animal lover. My mother adores Daisy, but when she sees me here for hours she asks, "What can you possibly do on that site? Just talk about your pets?" I just smile and say, "Yup!" She shakes her head in disbelief. But we are special, everyone, and we all share something very, very important: our love for our pets!
