Earlier tonight, I stuck my finger in the rat's cage to pet them and Noah bit me really hard and drew blood! I had no food on my hands, I had just washed them. What's his problem?! Thanks!

Nugget & Sweet Pea do that to me all the time. Lately they haven't done that, thank God. I even have little scars all over my hands/fingers from them attacking me.

I think it is either because I scarred them, or they didn't like the intruder (my fingers) coming into their home/territory.

I started to dip my finger into baby food, just a little bit, and then when I went to grab them, they got a tasty treat and found my fingers to be a good thing.

They haven't bitten me for about a month or so.

Frisco has only done this once...when I had oil on my hands. He never bites it if I have anything else on my finger...just canola oil lol.

Mine don't get very surprised when a finger suddenly pokes into their cage. lol. I play with them while their in the cage, so they get used of fingers poking them lol.
