Need to order my drink early because I'll need to do a lot of toasting. I would like a strawberry coke (1/2 strawberry pop & 1/2 coke). I want to drink a good luck toast to Noami and Bassett. Isn't this Thursday when she has her surgery? Any way good luck and prayers whenever it is!!!

Didn't someone mention a bridal shower this week too?

For lunch I need my usual nachoes! and chocolate covered pretzels.

Aww thank you so much for the good luck wishes :)

Actually, the surgery is on Monday, June 23rd. But we can toast today, seeing as this is the last Thursday before the big snip!! ;)

And to drink, I'll have some tropical fruit juice with raspberry schmirnoff, please :)

I'm buying everyone a glass of champagne. I'd like to make a toast to Neko for her wedding. Just this morning I received this email - the timing coudn't have been better.

HAPPY MARRIAGE

There was once a man and woman who had been married for more than 60 years.
They had shared everything. They had talked about everything.

They kept no secrets from each other except that the old woman had a shoebox in the top of her closet that she cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about.

For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoebox and took it to his wife's bedside. She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the box.

When he opened it, he found two crocheted doilies and a stack of money totaling $25,000. He asked her about the contents.

"When we were to be married, " she said, "my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doily."

The little old man was so moved, he had to fight back tears. Only two precious doilies were in the box. She had only been angry with him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with happiness.

"Honey," he said "that explains the doilies, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?"

"Oh," she said, "that's the money I made from selling the doilies.

A PRAYER....

Dear Lord,

I pray for Wisdom to understand my man;
Love to forgive him;
And Patience for his moods.
Because Lord, if I pray for Strength,
I'll beat him to death.

AMEN

this is a week to remember...

we have weddings....

people scared of belly buttons...

isn't 'oompaloompa-ism' fear of those short people that hang with willy wonka??????

bubbly, onion rings, choc pretzels....

spousal abuse...

A PRAYER....

Dear Lord,
I pray for Wisdom to understand my man;
Love to forgive him; And Patience for his moods.
Because Lord, if I pray for strength I'll beat him to death.

(is that before or after he mows the lawn????)

Nicole, I saw lots of "fuzzy belly button warmers" for sale while I was visiting your beautiful country. Would they help? I didn't buy any because I didn't know of anyone who might appreciate them. They were made out of possum fur. (possums being a huge problem in New Zealand).

Richard, do you know how to make an Apple Martini?

I would like to raise a glass to Michelle and congratulate her on her special day coming soon.

And also our sweet Bassett......I know all of us will be toasting that baby with many prayers for a huge success!

Richard, also, thanks for making a special card for Bassett.

See you later today!

I second that request for some sun. About the only thing growing well in my vegetable garden is mushrooms & I didn't even try for them. And with seven dogs going in and out of the yard so often I don't even try to sweep, pretty much need a shovel for all the mud:( We now have BakerLake in the back yard.

That's why when I ripped the carpet out of the living room, I painted the floor the same color as the mud the dogs track in! lol

Richard... I liked the bunny sig. better.

Speaking of which:
I had the most awful (read: stupid now, scary then) dream about bunnies trapped in dungeons. As part of my vet tech training, I had to rescue them. :rolleyes: (Somehow I managed only to get black loppies in my pockets/carriers ....)

what'd you guys dream about last night?
