I just finished reading this book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1575667355/qid=1055745021/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-5379471-5615169?v=glance&s=books

I picked it up at Strut Your Mutt on a whim. I've always been interested in Best Friends, even tried to stop there once on my way back from a trip (it was closed).....now I *must* visit there....I'll be down there before the end of the summer I swear! ;)

Seriously though, if you love animals, grab this book and some tissues, I promise you will enjoy every page of it! :D

OK, I just placed a hold on it at the library, it should be there in a couple days. We love animal books. Thanks for the tip;)

The name of the book is: Best Friends: The True Story of the World's Most Beloved Animal Sanctuary

I think I'll love this book, because I love these kinds of books. I'll try to see if I can find it, thanks for telling us about it.:)

I'm about a third of the way through the book and it is EXCELLENT!

Amy and I were just talking about maybe gathering some Pet Talkers there for a visit next year sometime. If you don't want to go, all you have to do is read the book. Then you will be DYING to go! I've always wanted to go, but now that I've started this great book, I HAVE to go :D

COOL!

I have the book... haven't read very much of it but I have it. :o Seems these days are spent reading such *cough*interesting*cough* pieces like: "The feminization of etiquette literature: Foucault, mechanisms of social change, and the paradoxes of empowerment." Yay.

11 more days of grad school.... let the countdown begin! Then I'll have a month to read whatever I wanna -- maybe I can finish it then!

(sorry I got booted from the chat... my internet was acting screwy.)
