OK, so I'm sitting here browsing through Pettalk, and I about jumped out of my skin when I heard this tremendous crash outside. I ran down to see this HUGE tree that is right over our powerlines in a million pieces all over the road. The tree is rotten, and FULL of bats. There are bats flying every where. *shudder*

Anyway, I'm shutting down the computer now because our power is acting really funky now (lights keep flickering & dimming)

That happens to me ALL the time! We have a humunogus tree out back that falls down all the time! It would take three of me to reach around it  That's how windy it gets here

Glad to hear you are safe! Don't turn off that computer for too long, you don't want to go through withdrawal

I think I must be missing something here. How can a tree keep on falling down. Don't they just stay down once they fall?

What a nightmare!!! Soon after I shut the computer down, the cops/firemen showed up. Guess the neighbor called. We waited for an hour for the electric company to show up as we noticed that the main wire into our house was pulled out. They finally got here, and told us they couldn't help us, and that we had to get an electrician.

Anyway, to make a long story longer, several hours later, we finally have power again! And PETTALK! YAY! :)

Woah! I'm glad people are all right! When no one was home, one of our elm trees fell (only like half of it though) and the neighbors told us later that they had heard a creaking and then a crash and when they looked outside the tree was down.
