... I found that they sell dog stuff now http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif! I am usually the last to know but I wanted to pass this on to anyone who didn't already know this. Their prices are WAY cheaper than PetsMart. Now that I have 3 dogs (and the new one liked to chew on the plastic bowls that my other girls had) I needed bowls that I can keep separate and that can't be chewed on. I happened to see the best bowls at Old Navy the other day and snatched them up! They are metal bowls with dog bones all around the outside and all different colors! They are big and so adorable! I bought a red, blue and yellow one. Now I know which bowl is for which dog. And, the BEST part is that these bowls are high quality and were only $2.99 each!!!!!!! I coulnd't believe it!

Old Navy also sells adorable dog collars and leashes as a set for only $9.50 and they also have cute little chew toys. I love the prices and if you have shopped at PetsMart you know how easy it is to spend a lot of money... especially if you have more than one dog.

Well, I know the stores in other states may not sell the same things or have the same prices but Old Navy should be pretty much the same... I hope. I was just way too excited about all of the dog stuff they have now. Had to share... http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Thanks Doggiemom, I went to the old Navy store this morning, and I got six green and red dog bowls for the six Schnauzers in the family for Christmas, what a deal only 1.95 for each and they are darling. I also got a great leather collar and matching leash for Perry for .99. Thanks for the information, it was a great price on them.

This is so wierd! Just this morning, a woman came into the kennel for boarding, well, her dog I should say, and when I asked where she got her dog's beautiful new leash and collar, she went on and on about all the great pet stuff at great prices at Old Navy! It just opened a few months ago. Have to check it out. It sounds great!

You should check it out, there are cloth and good leather collar and leash sets for .99 and they are mostly for big dogs, Perry has a really strong neck so it will fit him, Daisy has a skinny neck so they wouldn't work on her. You can't beat the prices on the collar, leash sets. The leather sets were selling for 19.95 got it for .99

I got a matching leash and collar for Easter in my Easter basket!!!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif It's red and white checker-board like!!! But, they aren't very strong!!! So, if you have a dog that likes to pull you around the neighborhood, I suggest you don't get one!!!!
My sister got one, too in her Easter basket, and it's red with reflecting tape on it, so we can walk at night and be noticeable to cars. They are really cute!!! Both collars are snap collars, and I like that, because I think they stay on better than any collar!!! Since Sadie is a Black Lab, red looks best on her. They both look great on her!!!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Thanks for the "heads up" Jackie! The leash you described sounds just like the one this woman's dog was wearing!

LabLover...I'll bet Sadie looks just beautiful in her red collar! Star likes red too! And....we're waiting for your pics!

You don't need to have an Old Navy near you. You can shop online! Go to www.OldNavy.com (http://www.OldNavy.com) and you can buy all the pet supplies you want! Recently an Old Navy box was delivered to my house and I got all excited, thinking my parents ordered me stuff... I opened it up and saw a squeaky dog bone and a bandana collar! Dad went shopping for Daisy instead http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif I love the stuff there!

Thanks jackiesdaisy & Daisy's mom I found the right site.

No offense... I just found it funny that the dog items are listed under the men's department.

Thank you all for the clarification and website links. I didn't even think about shopping online!

We bought matching collars and leashes from Old Navy for Christmas, for Honey and Lilly. Honey's was precious. It said "naughty" on one side, and "nice" on the other!! Lilly's said "Ho Ho Ho, Woof Woof Woof". They are adorable. Only problem with those easy release collars is that Honey can chew one off of Lilly's neck in no time flat. Poor Lilly. Her collar lasted about 5 minutes on Christmas Eve.
That was it!

Lilly got herself a heavy duty, hot pink collar with a regular metal buckle for her birthday last month. So far, so good. Honey can't get that one off, but it doesn't keep her from trying. Poor little Lil, she has scabs all over her neck from the constant chewing from her older sister! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif

Logan your story reminded me of something that happened many years ago and was a little scary. My Whitney (black standard poodle) and Ashley (silver miniature poodle) used to always play. They were great friends like I am sure Honey and Lilly are. There was a size difference, though, but no one ever got hurt until this one time. I was in the kitchen and there was yelping coming from the other room. I raced in and Ashley's lower jaw was caught on Whitney's collar and, because Whitney was so much larger, she was lifting Ashley off the floor and Ashley was hanging by her jaw. Fortunately I was there in an instant and all was well (except I was shaking like a leaf. I think these kinds of things only happen to me!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Well, one thing is for sure, Pam. Honey will not be lifting Lilly anywhere!!! I keep thinking she will give up eventually, or that Lilly will let her know that this is unacceptable behavior. I always stop her when I see it happening, if only to keep the slobber off Lilly's fur!! But they just tussle and play like children. It is the one time that Honey is not completely submissive!
