yesterday i was out riding my bike and i got attacked.............by 2 dachshunds and a chihuahua! they were just out in the middle of the road. and they started barking at me. the chihuahua was going to kill me(so it thought) and the doxies just ran away after a few mins. but that chihuahua just thought he was going to really hurt me....and it was the smallest chi i had ever seen! it FINALLY left and i went home and told my dad...he just giggled and asked me if i need to go to the vets for a rabeis shot...lol

anyway...are chihuahuas always that mean?

Some do tend to have an attitude problem. :D

But I'm sure not ALL chihuahua's are mean, just ask Cisco's mom. I have heard they have there moments but I do not think they are always mean or that all of them are mean.

Loved teh story Still laughing.

That's funny--glad you made it home ok!!!
I think some Chi's can have an attitude, and get snippy, but just like other dogs, it depends on their socialization and their owners

I'm glad you're ok, but I'm sitting here wondering what three little dogs like that were doing in the middle of the road!!!!

I know how you feel. That has happened to me and its not something I would want to go through again. In my case, there were 3 dalamations, ALONE, running on the street back a forth like mad dogs. In fact, they WERE mad dogs! I was out for a walk and all of a sudden those 3 appeared, barking and growling with their huge pointy teeth. My heart was beating SO hard; I screamed at them, waved at them, nothing worked. They attacked me and I fought back and got them off me. Then I ran (which I know I shouldn't have) and they followed, so I ran faster, and they followed even faster. I said a prayer and asked God to save me from them, and right that second, miracilously, they changed their mind and disappeared. I thanked God for answering my prayer and ran home with blood dripping from my hands (they made me fall in a rose bush). That was just one of my experience with big vicious dogs, but I've had many more. That's why I dread dogs more than anything, although I'm not that scared of little dogs. They seem to small to be afraid of. I know most big dogs are very sweet though. Its just that I had experience with the bad ones, and they were all either without an owner, or the stupid owner wasn't watching them!

LOL, very funny attack story! Actually, the meanest dog I have ever met..was a chihuahua. That dog would snarl, bark and growl at other dogs and people! There not all like that though.;) :)

Wow!! I'm glad to hear that the chihuahua spared your life!!:D LOL. I'm sorry I couldn't help that. Well, I have experieced chi, chi's that will lick you to death and some that will not allow a stranger to pet them. I suppose it depends upon the dogs personality, the breeding, and the way it is raised to a certain extent. Cisco is kindda is in between. He is very protective, but has never actually attacked anyone.:) Though I know for a fact that if a person were to threaten me in anyway he would def. come to my defense!!:)

not all Chi's are like that, as was said above it is all in the way these dogs are raised , and in some cases the breeding of the dogs.

our Chihuahua is also inbetween, he does not like starangers although he was well socialised as a pup (puppy preschool, lots of social visits to the vets) but he wont alow strangers to touch him :( , he screams as if they are trying to kill him.

with us he is good, sooky cuddley kissy etc, we are hoping he will improve with age and lots more socialising as he is quite young still nearly 12 months old

but i am glad you are ok, i have also had some bad experiances with both toy and large sized dogs and everything in between
