I am glad it worked. However, the photo is far to large to keep in your signature. Most readers will have to wait a long time to see the image. I am afraid most will not wait. Your image is about 72k in size. Perhaps an image of less than 10k would work in a signature.

A really small pic would work best with a signature. Try taking a picture of Simba where she is at a greater distance from the camera and then crop out all the surrounding background. You then should have a nice little picture to work with the signature.
This is one I was thinking of using for Hannah.

That's a wonderful photo but I think it would work better if it were smaller still.

Karen made a couple of small images just in case you would like to use them:

Here is a brief outline of how to get the photos on Pet Talk:

1) Take the photo.
2) Get the photo on your computer.
3) Put the photo on the Internet.
4) Know the URL of your photo.
5) Add a special code at the beginning and at the end of your URL.

Step (3) is to make your images available to all the computers on the Internet. You may do this by placing them on any webserver. If you do not have access to a webserver or do not know how to do this,
email your image to me ( [email protected]) and I will place it on the Pet of the Day webserver.

Step (4) is to know the URL of your image on the web server. It could be something like "http://PetoftheDay.com/online/max.jpg".
Step (5) is to place in front of your URL and after your URL.

It has to be someplace on the Internet, not just on your harddrive, as we don't have access to that! So it would probably be a http://www.something type line.

I am sorry you have had so much difficulty. We have to write better instructions. The reason it did not work is that your image is not accessible to the Internet. One simple way to get it on the Internet is for you to email it to me at [email protected] and I will put it on the PetoftheDay.com server. I will then email you the URL so you can use the image in your messages.

I had no problem getting it. It was kind of dark - cute doggie in a chair right?
