For those following the saga of the stray kitten I took in (Zam's son), I have some major updates.
For the past three nights, both Zam and Boba have been sleeping on my bed. Not touching, but close.
I was dumbstruck to wake and find them like that. He has taken to following her around the apartment. A few times she pounces on him and causes him to squeal but nothing like it's been in the past. Now he'll jump at her and pretty much taunt her to get him. When this happens, I'll let her before I intercede. ;)
Over the weekend, I caught them sunning at the window together, drinking out of the bathtub together, eating near each other, and taking turns using the box.
They never touched, but had no problems being near each other.
I'm simply amazed at what seems to be an overnight miracle.
This morning was cute as Zam was in the box, and Boba was sitting on top trying to reach inside to swat her but sadly falling short. Zam ignored him. He'd jump down and swat and then jump back on top and swat down at her. Back and forth til he finally got a shot in and she reached out from the box and smacked him. ;) :D
He's still wary of the dog, but only goes under the bed if Kia heads straight for him.
I think it's pretty much settled that he's staying with me. ;) :D
