My name is Brad. Been married for 12 years to Jennie. I turn 44 in 2 weeks (still can't believe it)! I currently am an unemployed salesperson. I live in the wild, wonderful Columbus, Ohio. I live with 2 pooches:

Callihan, an ornery 8 year old Doberman and the very FIRST pet of the day (sorry Karen, I'm gloating)

Mitchell the terror, an ornery 10 month old Doberman pup and a rescue.

My name is Jess King, I'm 20. I have been in a long-term relationship for 4 yrs & 4 months (This is my first relationship). We're also engagged & would love to get married this summer.

We live in Ottawa/Ontario/Canada. I work in a Post Office (I'm a pharma plus employee not PO) inside of a Pharma Plus. Rob is an unenployeed bumb.. hehehe (he can't find a job at this time of year, all the college students got first dibs).

Rob & I own our own online store named iahu.ca (http://iahu.ca). haven't sold anything yet, but people seem interested.

I'm in grade 10 for another 2 weeks then off to grade 11. Gosh..almost gonna graduate. Oh yea..did I mention i'm a chick? LOL I'm chinese although I don't speak much of it lol. I love music. I am currently attending a community college, but would like to eventually transfer to DeVry University and major in business administration. I have been working in the shipping/recieving department of a catalog company called Sun Precautions for the past 4 years. I actually found out about PT through one of my co-workers there. She's not a member, she just intorduced me to DOTD and I started posting on PT on my own. :) I have a wonderful boyfriend named John that I've been with for the past 2 years. I love music (my fave band is Everclear), I also play guitar & a couple other instruments, I love cars (I drive a 03 Toyota Echo, but my dream car is a Jeep Wrangler...I also love BMWs... Hello. My name is Jennifer. I live in Seattle, Washington, and I am from Hong Kong. I am 20+ years old. :) I work at a Credit Union. My family has a Shih Tzu--Chilli. She is 7 years old. She lives in HK with my parents, though she had lived in Seattle with me for a couple of months, then she flew back to HK... I think Chilli is "bilingual" since she had lived in the US (where she learns English) and we talk to her in Cantonese at home. haha... Anyway, I have not seen her in over a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: My dad keeps me up to date about Chilli regularly though, so I will know what's going on with her. I will be going home in October, can't wait to see her!!!

I'm a hairdresser...a color specialist to be exact and have been doing that for about 4 years now. I also was a licensed vet tech and did cancer research for a while. I drive a Honda Del Sol (my baby) and play classical piano. Chris and I like to go on rollercoaster vacations and snorkel vacations. We're getting married on the beach in Maui next year. :)

I'm owned by Kito, the Shiba Inu, Abbey, the crab (beagle), and Riley--the silly little wonderful lab pup.
We just bought a house a few months ago, and are (im)patiently waiting for the landscaping to be done and fence put up, so our dogs can have the yard to play in!!!

My name is Amy and I am 27. I have been married to my huband for almost 3 years. I am a chemist and I work for a small chemical company in Maumee, OH, that makes high purity detergents for the medical research community.

We have 3 dogs:
Sadie- a 2 1/2 yr old Lab/Dalmation mix. Sadie is our dancing puppy. Sheloves to do tricks and perform.

Cincy - a 1 1/2 yr old Lab mix. She is our littlelover. She is a certified therapy dog and loves going to visit people, esp. kids.

Spot- a 2 1/2 yr old Dalmation mix. He is our newest addition (2 1/2 mos. with us) and was rescued from a kill shleter in SE Ohio with the help of Molly (Mugsy). We don't exactly know what his "thing" his yet...he's just happy to be alive!

My name is Tonya, I am 25 years old. I am a construction splicer for the phone company. I am married to Mike who is an electronics controller at a corn plant. I have a five year old son, Jaden. We own our house and live in central Califonia. My husband hated animals until he met me. He'd never had a pet in his life. One by one, I have brought animals home and he has fallen in love with them. He now understands that they are little people too. My husband races sportbikes, so we are pretty busy with that. My son rides dirtbikes. I am an amatuer Thai Boxer. I haven't boxed in months because I am recovering from shoulder surgury right now. I'd had my shoulder injury for years so it prevented me from getting serious, but I plan on getting more involved in the boxing once I am healed. My pets are: Dusty an australian shephard-husky, Roxy a husky, Teddy a pomeranian, Ron and Raven cats, a fish, and two snakes.

Hi, Im kind of new although I have had 3 pet of the days, one last Thanksgiving, my turkey Jimmy Girl, one at Christmas, one of my cats, Booshie and just this week Ozzy my dog. My name is Rina and I'm forrttttyy something LOL, I have 11 cats (I know Im nuts), 2 dogs, 5 ducks and a turkey. My husband and I have two boys as well and we are just animal crazy, we used to live in a big city and moved to the country. Wide open spaces and lots of room for everyone. My cats are Sam (17), Zak (16), Jesse (13), Moe Minkie (12), Puppe (11), Katja (8), Stumpy (8), Booshie (7), Romeo (3), Simon (1 1/2), Toni (6-8 months not sure). My dogs are Ozzy (4) and Cody (8). LOL the ducks are Millie, Chico, Limpy, Sunny, and Chip. We have a resident chipmunk for the past 4 years and her name is what else Chippy, and a groundhog named Petey. Also a ton of feather friends, the cats are strictly indoors they are a misfit organization if ever there was one. But we are truly blessed to be able to have them in our lives. My husband found pet of the day , by word of mouth a friend of ours had their pet cat of the day. :eek:

My name is Clara I will be 45 (URGH!!!) this summer. I am owned by 2 dogs and 1 cat.

Leo (2 1/2 yrs old) is a Rott/Chow mix I got from the SPCA about 2 years ago after my Buster(Lab) passed from bone cancer. He is a sweetie pie, but stubborn as all get out. I love him to death though. He had some behavioral problems but 2 years, 2 obedience classes, and numerous training books later - he is a doll.

Penny Lane (6 or 7yrs) is a small GSD mix who was a stray I just adopted from the Buffalo Animal Shelter (where I do volunteer work). She is very timid with people, but very alpha with other dogs. She is crazy about Leo though. She has some health problems, but we are dealing with those now. Nothing major - she has low protein levels in her blood (doc thinks it is nutrition related), and she has trouble with bladder control. So my house is now covered rubber backed rugs and plastic.:rolleyes:

Sam (5yrs) is a DSH who I inherited from my mother when she got very ill and had to go into a nursing home.

I work as an implementation specialist - which is a fancy way of saying I take my companies software and tweek it to fit customers needs. I just bought a house with a huge back yard just for the dogs. I know its pretty pathetic to buy a house for your dogs, but what can I say - I'M HOOKED ON MY DOGS.:D

Uhhh I love music, it's practically my life. Same with my pets. My fave singers are Cher, Creed, Eminem, and other people. I'll listen to almost anything...with the exception of absurd and/or obscene songs. I'm also a BIG Clay Aiken fanatic, yes I'm one of those gullable suckers who worships the ground he walks on. :p
On to my pets:

Lady is an 8 year old German Shepherd Dog. Her bithday is March 16th. We got her from a wealthy breeder near Brookhaven, NY. One funny thing about her is that if yo hug her for more than 3 seconds, she'll start to squirm around and wiggle out. :D
Sally is an 8 year old Tabby Cat, we're not sure what specific type of tabby. Her b-day is April 19th. We found her in a cardboard box in my dad's work, and the man asked us if we would have her.
Floppsy is my 3 year old Lop Rabbit, whom I personally own. Currently, she lives outside in a 3-room hutch (occasionally spending days & nights out on the porch), but when school is over (in 25 days) she will be getting litter trained, and is gunna live in my room w/ me. :D We got her from a breeder, who was my dad's friend, as a gift.
Perrie is my male Dwarf Hamster, whom I also personally own. His b-day is...not actually sure...I'd have to check. He's almost 6 months old though. He lives in a spacious 10-gallon tank (which I had not got around to telling you all), complete with a wheel and all the works.
Speedy is my sister's Dwarf Hamster. She lives in a huge 3-floor cage. She is almost 6 months as well.
And the bettas, Mooka, Bubbles, Popcorn, Aqua, & Ocean, are well...bettas. They live in a divided 10-gallon tank, except for Ocean, who lives in a fish bowl. Aqua & Ocean are almost three months (at least to the best of my recollection), and the other three are almost 6. :)

I agree, Clara. My friends think I am cheesy because I am always telling stories about my pets. I think about them through the day just as much as I think about my husband and son. I always send pictures to my mom in law because she lives in Missouri. It'd just dawned on me the other day that I send her far more pictures of our pets then ourselves. I'd say only 1 out of 10 pics are actually of us. She's an animal lover too, so she never mentioned it to me. hehe. If it weren't for my love of animals, I would have lived for the rest of my life in an apartment. They have no yard to care for and take 1/4 the time to clean. I too, bought a house just so I could have animals.

I live in manhattan, new york (city) and love it. I love everything except traffic. lol
My Family:
I have a brother, a mom, a dad, and pets. My brother is named Josh, and is 6y.o. He follows my interest in animals, and drawing. he is surprisingly good in art for being a 6yo! He said that he wants to be an electrician, or a policeman. I have a mom, Rhonda, she is a Nurse at Pleasant View, a nursing home. My dad, Chris is an electrician he worx in DC. My parents and my brother all live in a little developing city called Frederick Maryland. Oh, and They have a pet(chihuahua) named Mercy. They are currently taking care of my 2 OTHER pets, Lady(Border Collie) and Kitty(my kitten) You can find them in other posts(I mention them often).
My pets:
I have a border collie/lab mix named Maggie...I am sure you have heard of her. She is going on 4 in August. She lives with me in my dinky apartment in Manhattan, a really busy huge full of traffic pain in the butt city in NY. She loves it here, and she loves me.lol. I got maggie at a shelter about 3 yrs ago here in NYC. Ever since she has been my bestest buddy. Lady, she is my pure bred BC, and she is also 3. I have to give her to my parents over the summer, along with Kitty(my kitten) for a reason that is none of your business(nothing related to animals). So yeah thats my pets...
Life:
I am currently beginning my second year of college for my bachelors degree. I am 19. I am a female...lol...I live in NYC. I am semi enjoying my last days as a teenager. I have a boyfriend that is 19. His name is mike. I am having much luck along the way. Healthy happy relationship. Hope it turns out well...
Me:
I love animals. I have red hair, ice blue eyes(cuzz of my contacts), I am 5'7, and light in wieght for my age, lol. Yeah I am scary. Oh, and I have braces. Yeah I am old for braces. I have a disease...style, I have to have style or I won't wear clothes at all(scary thought) I have expensive new york/chicago style. I'm gonna say some stuff I haven't really mentionned before.

My name is Liana and I'm 16 years old living in Quebec, Canada with my three pets and family of 6. I love to draw, lisen to music, belch out songs until I crack the windows, and spend time with my pets, friends and family. I don't have a particular style, I just wear whatever is comfortable But while I'm in school, I wear the mandatory school uniform that our new principal assigned. (yech!)
I have two main dislikes, hypocrites and posers (people who act or try to be who they aren't). I love my friends, they are the best. I have had a lot of trouble and problems with past friends over the years but now I realize the ones that are the best people don't have to be the most popular or stylish or pretty ones. Personality outrules it all (for me anyways). I have had the same best friend for over 7 years (at least) and we are just two nuts, always laughing or having a good time. I love to make my friends laugh and spend time with them. :cool:

The reason I love my baby so much is because he is what I have wanted since I wanted a dog. He's always there for me and he's just got an amazing personality that makes him different than a lot of other dogs. My birds are great too, don't get me wrong, but Mickey is the dog that I have always wanted. ;)

How did I find PT? It goes way back to when I visited Florida one summer and bought this puppy calendar from DogFancy. I decided to check to see if they had a website and they did. I joined the board and some girl brought up the PT URL and explained about it. I'm Alyson, 24 yrs old, live in Austin, TX.

As most of you know, I have 2 dogs, a cat, some fishies, and a foster dog who doesn't look like she's going anywhere anytime soon. I also have 2 foster kittens at the moment.

My life pretty much consists of working with animals and finishing school. I work at the Central Texas SPCA and volunteer at the Austin Humane Society, both no-kill shelters. I also do a lot of fostering, transports, temp testing, behavioral modification, etc etc. I have been doing internships with several trainers in my area. I co-teach an obedience class with one of my trainer friends and its a lot of fun. In the fall, I will be starting my own class also! I'm excited.

My dream is to open my own shelter. I want it to be huge and concentrating on the comfort levels and stress reduction of the animals. I also want to have an obedience part of it where I offer classes to the public and also take shelter animals through. And I think a neat idea would be to have a therapy part where I can put the most well behaved animals and have under privilaged kids who can't have their own pets come interact with them.

I work as an office manager for a small distributor of neon sign supplies in West Columbia, South Carolina.

Live in Indianola, Iowa - a small town just south of the capital city - with my significant other (of 20+) years. We live on a small piece of ground that's just about 3 acres. Love living in the country!

Currently work as a secretary for a small trade association. Not sure I love it, but it pays the bills. Would love to work in or own doggie daycare.

We are currently owned by four very loved and spoiled furbabies;

I found PetTalk when my son sent me a link of dog of the day and said it looked like his dog. I kept checking back and finally joined, not sure why he didn't.

Really enjoy reading all the information here. Have found out things about different breeds and dog behaviors that I think will really help me at home with mine.

Am constantly surprised and delighted that people of all ages and backgrounds can come together and discuss their love for pets in a positive and caring way. No one here thinks you're crazy for loving your pets and here they are family not just "property"!!

I owned day care Centers till '96, sold them and some how got in to animal care. One of those things that just happen. I was asked if I could help with a Pom that was set on fire years ago and sense then it just grew in to what I now have.

I found pet of the day about a week ago, been on other pet sites but so far really like it here better. There a bigger range of pets and owners.

Anyway, I'm Micki and I live in Wylie, TX, a very small town that’s a suburb of Dallas. I'm the mommy to a Toy Fox Terror, uh, Terrier named Chester and a Jack Russell mix named Millie.

I used to subscribe to a daily joke and it also gave several links for unusual sites. DOTD was one of them and I visited it every day. Finally one day I noticed the Pet Talk link and clicked and my life was magically transformed. I know it sounds corny, but this is the kind of place I've been searching for all my life. Very few people that I meet in person have the strong bond that I have with pets. Most people roll their eyes and tell me I need to have a baby. :rolleyes: I have two, you can see them in my signature. :)

My name is Diana and I am way old. My two daughters (Cincy's Mom and Dakota's Mommy) are PTers and that is how I got into PetTalk.

My husband and I have 5 dogs, Oreo, a 13 1/2 beagle/poodle mix; Dazzi a 3 year old golden mix; Taggert, a 1 year old airdale mix;Snoopy, a 1 year old Dalmation mix and Jack a 4 year old airedale. I would probably have more dogs if Carl wasn't so hard hearted. LOL

For 16 years I worked at a Catholic Parish Office until my position was eliminated last year. Carl worked at a company for 26 years when they closed his plant last fall. We could have moved to Florida with his company but wanted to stay closer to or children and friends. Both of us are looking for jobs right now.

My name is Sarah and I am sixteen. I'm in Year 10 at the moment (just finished mid-years) and am trying so hard to do well at school, since I want to be a vet, and I don't know about America, but here in Australia only about 260 people get into veterinary science nationwide each year. So I'm gonna have to do the slog to get there :D

I volunteer at my local RSPCA (with the dogs, initially, but this weekend I start with the cats. Hopefully I'll be transferred back soon...I love the kitties, but the reason I volunteered was for the dogs), and am hopefully getting a job at my local vets after I do my work experience there at the end of this term, in late June.

My favouritest show in all the world is Buffy the Vampire Slayer :D Six episodes until the ultimate season finale. Oh boy, am I loving Season 7! Andrew totally cracks me up - "In my scenario, we are beltless" LOL :D He's hilarious, as is Anya.

My primary love in terms of pets are dogs. They've been my calling since I was a little girl ;), but my parents aren't fond of the idea of a house pet. So, we have many compromises - two rabbits (Zander and Fergus), seven guinea pigs (Garrison, Maverick, Kennedi, Opal, Lavender, Hallie and Pyper), and two birds (Lachie and Austin - yes, they are house pets, but we got them on the condition they are not outside their cage without me being there). Over the years I've had mice, snails, skinks, caterpillars, and fish, too. :p

In February my next door neighbours got a Golden Retriever puppy called Lucy, and are kind enough to let me walk her mostly every day, and play with her and everything, so she's my 'half-dog'. I'm trying very hard to teach her good manners, as well, but that's not working out so well :rolleyes:

My favorite animal would have to be horses (even tho I don`t own one).

My favorite dog breed, obviously, Rottweilers.I don`t have a Rottie right now but when I`m older people will be afraid of me b/c I`m gonna be the old lady next door that`s obsessed with rotties. We used to have a rottie named Brut that we had to give away b/c of certain reasons, but he ended up getting out of that persons yard and he got hit by a truck.
