I added another update picture.

A friend of ours just got a new German Shepard puppy. They've had two HUGE tuxie cats for awhile now (I forget how long, but it's been a few years at least). The puppy was 9 weeks old last Thursday, and weighed 25 lbs! The cats have to be close to at least 20 lbs themselves, so it should be interesting. :D

Here's the first meeting of one of the cats and the puppy.

That was a few days ago. Now he says this cat is slowly warming up to the puppy. He has no problem walking past him and giving him "the paw." :D :D He says these two will probably be best buds in the near future. :D The other cat, however, is not thrilled at all - but that's typical of this cat.

Just thought this was a cute pic so I wanted to share it with everyone. :D

GREAT PICTURE!! I think they will work out just fine since the puppy will be growing up with the kitties. I have relatives who brought a GSD puppy home to two cats and there was some initial chasing but they all have managed to settle in. I have some cute pictures of Bella meeting Trevor. She was 5 lbs. at the time and he was 19 lbs. Now the tables have turned and she is 40 lbs. and he is still 19 lbs. but they are friends of a sort. At least they don't bother each other. :)

I'm really not sure. He just sent pics and I didn't ask for too many details. He does look like his hair is a bit longer than normal German Shepards, but I thought that was because he was a puppy.

If it has longer hair then an average GSD or puppy, then it probaly is a coated GSD! He is sooo cute!:D :)

Too cute.

Once I finally move and get settled, I've been thinking about getting a small dog, either a maltese, yorkie, or a teacup chihuahua...but I'm thinking that something that small, the cat's will terrorize.

Cute pup, bet he'll be huge!

Here's an update pic on the puppy.

He's not quite 6 months old and already weighs 65 lbs!  My friend said his wife was on her bicycle the other day, taking the dog for a walk. It's easier for her on the bike because he can/wants to go much faster than she can walk, but he ended up pulling her over the handle bars of the bike and she got some nasty scrapes. She wanted to stop, put on the brakes and the dog kept going....ouchie! He now weighs 25 lbs more than their 6 year old daughter!

The good news is he is in school and is becoming much better behaved. :D

Oh, and he also said the cat in the pic still stands up to the dog. :D He will stand on his hind legs and bat at the dog like a boxer. :D His exact words were "He puts his ears back, stands on his rear paws and just starts batting the crap out of _____."
:D :D Way to go kitty! :D

i'm sorry all of you missed it...........

look closely at the tuxie's eyes and the message being given to the GS is perfectly clear...

"look into my eyes, your are getting sleepy----
cats run this house, cats were here first, cats
run this house, you will respect and obey the cats in this house......when you wake up you will be just another source of heat for us to snuggle next to..when i count to three you will awaken and you will remember that cats run this house.....one.....two.......three.........."
