i think i am in the middle somewhere...i was born on 12/29/1960....however if we are talking about our dogs' age.....delilah was adopted on 5/27/2000...she was 4 at the time...so i made her birthday 05/27/96...that is the birthday that we really celebrate...because we celebrate each day she is with us...i stopped celebrating when i was 29...now i have anniversaries...the deli dog ;) :D ;) :D

Goldens have a way of keeping you young at heart. Actually in your case you have the perfect saying: "My Goldens make my Golden years Golden!" I know it's flaky but I tried!!!! Anyway.... Have a GOLDEN day! ;)

Thank you Logan :) You know I will always love my Goldens. As for being "young at heart," I have to look at my birth certificate to really believe that's my age. I suppose that 25 years of teaching at the college level have kept me tuned to the ideas of my young students ;) They used to say, to my great surprise (and pride) that I was "one of them."

What did you teach?!
I'm a set and costume designer. I taught set and costume design, costume history and painting techniques for the stage. The last 17 years at the Theatre Dept. of the University of Connecticut in Storrs. If there is one thing I miss in my retirement is my students.

How interesting and fun! I'm an english major (graduating this May)! I'd like to do publishing/editing and eventually write & illustrate my own line of kids' books.

Maybe you could design something for our pets. I bet most of them would love a new look instead of that "Elizabethan collar" the vet provides. ;) ;) ;) The PetTalk group would be a great bunch to test your designs!

There is another kind of "elizabethan collar," the authentic one, that is like a big, stiff ruffle made of horse hair (it's called that but is really a synthetic material) The kids will certainly look cuter with a ruffle around their necks, instead of that cone you get at the vets. However, as much as I would like to make a couple for our Pet Talk buddies, it's not possible right now. How about sending you a diagram so you learn how to make it? ;)
