Well, since it turns out Sammy is a girl, we are thinking about changing her name, to something more lady-like, I guess you could say. So....if you had a cat which looked like this:

What would you name it?? All suggestions wanted!!!

Thanks!! :D

In Greek mythology, Zoe means life..

Rajiv means striped in Sanskrit

Sienna means orange-red in italian (I really like this name:) )

In Norse mythology, Sindri means either small, sparkling or trivial.

Nekoda means marked in Hebrew (I like this name too ;) )

Katida means kittenish in Esperanto.

Hope I helped out :)

My cousin, whom we always call Sam, is actually Cassandra.

Sandy is close to Sammy, and she's sandy-colored ...

Is she an Emily?

I don't know why but she looks like Yvette to me. I also like Misha a generic domestic name for "femalle kitty" in catalan.

I really like Sasha!!! Sienna would be wonderful, too.

Samantha, Sam, Sammy...those all work for girls.....Maybe her personality, or should that be catonality, will lead you somewhere?

Christiansmommy- MOCHA? As in SWISS Mocha? TF!!!LOL.

Well, it looks like we're just going to stick with Sammy. We got so used to calling her that, and we're already still struggling with getting the gender right when we refer to her :o :p, even when we try to call her something else it still comes out Sammy. We thought about Tiger Lily, since she's orange striped, graceful, and lovely like a tiger lily (well, maybe not graceful), but we keep calling her Sammy without meaning to! Oh well.......I'm sure I'll never call her by a real name anyway :D .

Dudley is warming up more and more - this morning he was galloping after her when she was cavorting around the living room, but he would stop short of touching her, even though he reached out tentatively once. At one point he was running after her, and she stopped suddenly, so he had to jump OVER her :D.
She's also discovered the unfortunate slipperiness of wood floors, and done a few sideways skids already.

Thanks for all the name suggestions, everyone!
