My co-worker Mary just lost her granddaughter Emma on Friday. I can only imagine the huge blow this is on Mary, her husband, their son, and daughter-in-law. I think Emma was their only child.

Emma was a HUGE Harry Potter fan and was so excited to go to the HP events we are having and Mary told her all about the stuff we had planned and our costumes.

She was looking forward to trivia and wizard dueling with me.

I'm in such shock. I just found out this morning.

:( :(

Oh Kim I'm so sorry, please pass my condolences to Mary and her family. If I may be so forward, what happened to the little girl?

I honestly don't know and I wonder myself. Emma wasn't sick as far as I knew.

:(

It sure is a sad day Logan. :(

What very sad news:( I'm so sorry for Emma, her family and friends. There's nothing so heartbreaking as the loss of a child. I will be keeping her family in my thoughts and prayers.

I totally understand where your coming from though.
Our neighbors son just died (he was killed in an explosion at his home, he was siphoning gas for his lawnmower:( He has a 6-7 yr old son.), the neighbors that knew him well went around & let eveyone know & collected money for flowers and his son.
Please give her family my condolences.

Oh Anna, how horrible! My thoughts and prayers go out to your neighbors.

Emma was 8 years old. From what I understand, she had a weak heart and had had surgeries in the past. :(

Bless her sweet heart, Kim. That is so terribly sad. I can't imagine losing my child. :( A nice lady, over at Jackie's site, wrote a post yesterday that her 19 year old niece and her 19 year old husband were killed in an automobile accident last week. They left a 7 week old baby. :(

This has not been a good month so far. My prayers go out to all of these families who have suffered such tragic losses.
