Pig Ears ...

Does anyone give their dog pig ears? Is it bad for the dog, since they can't have pork...?

Mickey has these little ones. They don't stink but I hate holding them. I'll be like, "Here Mickey" and whip it acrsso the room :p

I didn't think they were bad for him. He doesn't like it much anyways :rolleyes:

my dog is a pig for pig ears! He loves them! But I tend not to give it to him cuz i'm usually flat broke...or I'd rather spend my money on better stuff for him.

Nope!... no pig ears or rawhide. I'm just not comfortable letting Cisco have these types of chews.:)

Nala hasn't had pig ears, yet. Simba loves them, we used to buy the pack of like 3 huge pig ears and cut those into four.

Tikeya will only eat them if another dog does. I hate them, the thought just makes me sick. poor piggies.

She attempted to steal the pig ear a few times from Kai...she finally got it after about 5 tries. This is belle btw.. (RB)

I haven't given Ruby any yet, but my old miniature schnauzer, Muffy (RB), used to get the occasionally and she LOVED them. Ruby gets rawhide chews instead.

ahh Pig ears. Owen loves them. But, alas pig ears don't love Owen.... It's one of the few things that causes... well... uncontrollable.... projectile semi liquid stuff from his umm...posterior... for days.
its not pretty. but BOY does he love them.

I don't give my dogs pig ears because I heard that the sharp edges can cut their intestines if they swallow big pieces. Jake wouldn't swallow big pieces, but I could see Max swallowing one in two bites.

Ive heard that too! I never give pig ears or rawhide, it can really eat up their intestines! It can also make them choke or throw it up. :eek:
