I missed my mom today, but I saw the whole crew yesterday for a niece's birthday, and today we visited Paul's mom, so I am lucky. Gave hugs to several "grandmom substitutes" in church, and did think of you guys today, grandmomless for the first time. Maybe she and my mom, and all the other Pet Talk moms already up in heaven will pause for a moment (from their pet-spoiling duties at the Rainbow Bridge) and know that we love 'em still.

Now I miss my mom too. (gone 7 years now)

Here's hoping she got part of the Happy mom's day message sent by you guys. Thanks for thinking of all the other moms too.

Cinder and Smoke,

Thanks for including all the moms & gran moms at the
Rainbow Bridge this Mother's Day. I thought of your GranMom
today as I remembered my own Mom who passed almost one
year ago. This is my first Mom's day without her. Smokey never
got to meet her, but I'm sure she would have loved him.Could
you please let my Mom help pass out the cookies, she would
love that. Thanks you guys.:)

Here's hoping you hear the news that Cinder & Smoke have sent a telly via God to their Grandma, and more'n likely she'll be poppin' over to the Rainbow Bridge to get some motherly goodies to the furkids (and feather, and scale - I know, Mom!) there. Since I know that's pretty much where you've taken up residency, knowing how you felt about people and all, and knowing how much animals loved you, I thought it'd be OK to tack this little message to you (Ko's helping with the typing since my fingers are too small for the darn keyboard) on with it so you'll know how much we miss you, and are celebrating the memory of the fun we had while you were with us.
I bet you know all the PT kids that have come up since you left - and if you haven't yet, today will be your chance to meet some pretty like minded people in spirit who shared you passion for All Creatures Great and Small and have left this place for the better place you all are in.
Knowing you, and Cinder & Smoke's Grandma, and Jen's mom, and lots of wonderful beings who shared this place with us, makes it not such a dreaded event, but a place to look forward to when our time here is done.
I love you, Grasshopper

Phred, Thanks for starting this thread because I was thinking of you and others who lost their mothers this past year.

My mom passed eight years ago, living to the age of 99 years, 6 months. With some daytime help, she was able to continue living with me. Freckles was a big help, too. Always in Mom's lap, or sleeping on the end of her bed. Mom was a cat person, as I am.

I'm so sorry to you all who have lots a mother or grandmother. Sometimes God needs his angels back in heaven. ;)

May God be with you when you feel sad and remind you of those happy times together.

Love, Kelly

Mother's Day has always been a difficult day for me because I lost my Mother when I was a baby so I never knew her.

But yesterday, I stopped to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all I have lost including a very dear Grandmother.

I am sure it is very difficult when for years, you had your Mom around and you did things for her on her special day. The first Mother's Day without her becomes bitter sweet.

I would like to think that all of our Mom's are together, baking cookies, talking about their children and how much they miss us.
