cockatiel tail feathers

my lutino tiel ,Lucy, has been in the same cage for about 5 years. i got him this year about 3-4 months ago....the tip of his tail feathers are always wet from his water dish and look kinda greyish brown.....when they shpould be white, they are spread out and messy. what can i do to help his tail feathers????

Is there any way you can move his water dish to a higher place where its next to his highest perch, but not low enough for his tail to go into?

Lutino tails are so easy to get dirty. Popcorn get's the tip of his tail dirty like that too. I just scrub his tail from the bottom when I give him a shower, and it goes away and becomes nice and white. :D

ok. i havn't given him a bath yet so i don't know if he will like it. i have bird wash from my last bird. iw ill try that. thanks.
