Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Is anyone familiar with the "Best Friends Animal Sanctuary" at Angel Canyon in Utah? It is the largest no kill animal sanctuary in the U.S. (no less than 1,800 animals at any time) located on a gorgeous site not far from the Grand Canyon. It has a wonderful, informitive site and is an absolutely beautiful, amazing place of "sanctuary," caring and compassion for all kinds of animals and those who love them.

Yes, I live about 1 hour away from there. They do alot of wonderful work in our community and are constantly having adoptathons, rummage sales, etc. If anyone ever gets to Southern Utah for vacation, it is worth a visit.

Yes, I get mailings from them and go into their website frequently. If I went there, I'd never leave. Another site that someone from Pet Talk recommended is Hearts United for Animals at www.hua.org. Karen, I found HUA a short while ago and you're right, what a tear jerker!! Such saddness, and joy. Seems they do some great work. I became a "Buddy" (financial foster Mom) the other day to a husky/shep named Flannery and can't wait for his pic. and 1st "letter." If anyone in the dog food comparison topic on the health board is interested, the www.hua.org (http://www.hua.org) has some really good info. recommendations about what to feed your dog and why. Think I'll be switching from Eukanuba! I think you click on "The Chuckwagon" logo thingy on their homepage.
