Hello everyone. I havn't been posting on the dog board much latly but I do come look.
Well, I thought now would be as good of time as any to introduce you all to the Newest member of our family, Nova, a 2 year old Sheeba Inu/Lab mix who has been with us now for 3 months . She is the most wonderful dog. She is always friendly towards everyone. Even little kids who run up to her and through there arms around her neck :D . She used to jump on the table to get food but she has since stopped and is very well mannered while we eat. She came to us not knowing any comands and she now knows, Sit, stay, roll over, lie down, come, side (where she comes to my side when running), Round (If she is on my right side she circles behind me and goes to my left to sit down), shake, High Five (stand up for this one) and Low Five (sits for this one). As you can tell she is a very very smart dog who loves to learn. She was spayed 2 weeks after we had her (on a friday). We went to the vet on saturday because she was hacking up white liquid and she was cough none stop. They said she had Kennel cough and put her on 3 pills every morning and night. About 3 days later she refused to stand up, not even to eat.She also was breathing hard and would not stop crying. We rushed her to the vets where they said she was inflammed and just in alot of pain and put her on another pill every morning and night. Till about Friday of that week I spent most of my evenings lieing in there with her praying she would get better, every morning and every night I spoon feed her her food and she was eating more and more each day but still not as much as she should have been. She again visited the vet the Thursday before she was better and then that Saturday because she would not stop crying again. She finally pulled thourhg and slowly became healthy again and went back to her old self.
We recently have been having some big moments in our first months. She played for the very first time 2 weeks ago! One of the most exiting things that has ever happened to me. She also began to great me when I came home from school, which was an amazing thing. That look that everyone talks about, that look from a rescue dog who just thanks you from saving them, she gives me that look all the time now, and it always brings tears to my eyes to think about what might of happened to her. Nova is a sweet dog. She loves to play, she loves to swim, ( :D ) she loves to go places, she loves kids, and she loves to cuddle. Her and Huney have become the best of Friends and love haning out together and Nova is always so gentle with her. I jsut can't tell you how great of a dog she is.
Well here are some pictures of her. She will steal your breath away.
