We have to disect frogs in a couple days and if I don't disect them then our science teacher forces us to watch. I don't feel like cutting open a dead frog, or watch someone else do it. What should I do?:confused: :confused:

Your state (New York) currently has laws upholding a student's right to choose humane alternatives to dissection without being penalized.

This website http://www.navs.org/education/student_choice_laws.cfm?SectionID=Education offers you a copy of the 1994 New York state law by calling 1-800-922-FROG.

So you need to explain to your teacher that by law you must be allowed humane alternatives. There are many virtual frog dissection materials!
